Genre defining project that will change your view of sampling and music as a whole. Everything sounds so seamlessly blended and morphed together its hard to believe this project is composed of 100% samples. The fact that you can take portions of one song, mash them together with different sounds of another, simultaneously fusing multiple different genres of music in the process, and have it come out as beautiful as this, is truly mind blowing. top 10 Chinese things probably
This was my introduction into jazz and it didn't really disappoint. I was expecting (and hoping) that it would be all instrumental as that's how I know jazz to be based on the tracks I've liked, which is why I think I did NOT like the vocals on this project. I feel like the voice of the artist doesn't match the vibe (maybe that's the avant garde aspect of this LP?) and the repetition was annoying. Started VERY strong, the first track is amazing and I would give it 100.
