Demon Hunter - The Triptych

This is a pretty solid album by Demon Hunter, and I think it is much better than their previous album "Summer of darkness". On this album, Demon Hunter stayed in the nu-metalcore genre, and refines it pretty well. This album has a lot of bangers on it, and I especially enjoy listening to "Not I", "Fire to my soul" and "Snap your fingers, snap your neck".

I really like the riffs on this album, which they have refined a lot in contrast to "Summer Of ... read more

I think this is a great solo debut by Nicklas Sonne, mostly known from the progressive metal band "Defecto". On this album he has chosen a more mainstream "poppy" sound than on defecto's projects, and I actually like it! I love the symphonic elements because they are executed so well, and Nicklas really shows his talents on this album.

On this album especially Nicklas' voice and guitar playing stands out for me. A lot of nice guitar solos and great choruses where ... read more

As a followup to Demon hunters debut, I think think this is alright. They continued experimenting with the nu-metalcore genre. And I definitely think they have managed to refine some things, but I don't think this is an amazing record.

First up, I want to talk about the good things about this album - the choruses are amazing! They are so catchy and big, that I always look forward to hearing the chorus again. I also love the vocals on this album; the way they have mixed clean vocals and ... read more

Rammstein - Sehnsucht

"Sehnsucht" Is a great follow-up for Rammstein's previous record. In this album they have created something more dark and creepy than they did previously - and I love it! Even though it sound a bit silly at times, for example by using looney toones samples, this album has a very creepy feel to it and I think the lyrics match the music a lot. Some quirky, twisted and dark lyrics perfectly match the heavy guitars, the sometimes great sampling and Till's deep voice.

I love the ... read more

As a debut and as one of the first nu-metalcore albums, this is amazing! It is the first demon hunter record I have listened to in a whole, and I think that it is great, and I am definitely looking forward to hearing more.

This album has a great tracklist, opening the record with my personal favourite "Screams of the undead" and closing with an amazing and beautiful song "The Gauntlet". I do think though, that it has some misses: "A broken upper hand" and ... read more
