After hearing this album, I can confidently say that Common is one of the most underrated and under appreciated rappers out there. Thoughts: To me at least, this is Kendrick’s best album. Yes even over TPAB. This is arguably the best concept rap album of all time and one of the best albums in the genre’s history. The storytelling and overall story progression is some of the best Kendrick’s ever done on tracks like Sherane, Art of Peer Pressure and of course, Sing About Me I’m Dying Of Thirst (which Kendrick apparently took a year to finish creating). Thoughts: Consistently great throughout, only thing keeping it from having a higher score is that nothing spectacular that reaches Nas’ peak are on this album.
