Despite most songs being a medium length, it feels like the lyrics hit hard if you really listen to them and understand what they mean. All of the songs also follow a specific pattern that I can't pinpoint that you can tell what album they're from. Part III is my favorite song on this album which may be due to the beat switch, but most of it is honestly just Lila Ramani's voice. It's also her vocals on every single song- they're beautiful. Good YouTuber, bad music creator. I don't listen to hyperpop often, though it feels like the people he features with sound decent with the beats. Production is semi-decent, though I can't express how boring and basic the lyrics were in every song. His lyrics sound like they were AI-generated from a bot trained to use rhymezone.com. The flow in most songs are weird and inconsistent, every song sounds almost the exact same and follows an extremely similar format, and it's beyond repetitive.
A disappointment following the Bean EP, though it wasn't too bad.
Maybe this wasn't a good first LP/EP to listen to as somebody who hasn't listened to Kyle And The Dictionaries and may have resulted in me not enjoying it too much. I do think with more improvement, KATD could release a pretty good album, and this one had potential to be a bit better.
