Biffy Clyro - Only Revolutions

This album was what helped get me into these guys. They’re now one of my favourite bands ever and a lot of that is thanks to this album.
While this is probably their least experimental record, it’s some of their strongest songwriting ever. There’s not a single bad song here. Production is also excellent with one of my favourite guitar tones ever. Strongly recommend this as the first album to check out if you’re getting into them.

Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not

Considering how little interest I have in this band, this is a really good album. Love the lyrics as a person who comes from Sheffield myself. Truly a thrill from start to finish.

Radiohead - The Bends

Is this Radiohead's most experimental or acclaimed album? No. But goddamnit this thing is such a great listen.

Such a big step up from Pablo Honey, while also feeling like a natural progression for the band. Brilliant production, incredible guitar work, and some of my favourite lyrics ever on songs like Fake Plastic Trees make this one of my favourites from Radiohead. It just gets better and better with every listen.

Carly Rae Jepsen - E•MO•TION

Pretty solid pop album with some great production all the way through. Carly’s voice is great as well. There are some amazing pop tracks and some really forgettable ones, but still worth a listen. Probably won’t come back to this though.

Childish Gambino - Because the Internet

Decent pop rap album with some interesting production. It doesn’t impress me so much on the rapping side of things, but still a fun listen.
The concept is extremely difficult to get a hold of, but super rewarding when you do. Overall, I like this album a good amount, but will probably come back to individual tracks rather than the full album. Also, 3005 is genuinely one of my favourite rap songs ever.

Deftones - Koi No Yokan

Great record. Love the more progressive approach taken by Deftones on this album. It’s a style they pull off extremely well. The riffs go hard, the lyrics and production are really solid, and Chino’s vocals are fantastic as well. Works great as a full-album experience, effortlessly jumping between emotions and executing it really well. Some cool transitions as well.
It’s definitely not perfect. The worst songs are pretty fogettable and a lot of them don’t pack the same ... read more

One of the most insane hip-hop songs I have ever heard. I could not have asked for a more amazing introduction to the music of Clipping. Love it.

Amazing album. On the surface, it seems like a simple dance record, but the production and overall sound is mind-blowing. It’s incredible how perfectly all the elements of every song go together. Works brilliantly as dance music but also as an album to just sit back and vibe to. A beautifully crafted, brilliantly produced, incredibly fun masterpiece of modern electronic music.
