Illenium has always been a popular artist in the melodic edm community, so it is difficult to call him underground or something similar. His music has also long been influenced by commercial pop, especially in the way he writes his songs, and that he rarely has instrumental songs. This album is a blessing upon this world. It's hard not to compare this to Porter Robinsons 2014 album "Worlds". Though they both have the same bakcground, that being early 2010s electro house, they chose different paths on their debut albums. The production is still just as good, but the hooks were a little better this time. Every single song delivers, some a little more than others. Yes, nothing fantastic happens here, and it can get a little repetitive when only three of the songs are a different genre from the rest, but the album hit ... read more
