maybe i just not used to kendrick not having a concept or deeper meaning to his albums, but this might be my least favorite kendrick album overall. it's a fun album nonetheless!! (better than any recent drake albums anyways!)
I LOVE IMOGEN HEAP !!! top tier production and omll i love her way of layering vocals. all the songs on this album are truly captivating, it's a no brainer why so many artists sample her. this entire album makes me feel like im truly another planet and im so glad imogen's has finally been getting more recognition recently!!
instrumentals are solid but the album loses it's momentum in the second half slightly.
a hip-hop classic. combining common's poetic lyricism and kanye + dilla's mixing of of hip-hop, soul, and jazz beats in this album is pure art. i love how fresh the music sounds, making it easily replayable. it's such a solid album i think that everyone w diff music tastes can listen to it and appreciate it's sound.
one of mac's best album imo. his lyricism in this album is js so good and the abstract vibe of it all is so beautiful. another very solid mac album. may he rest in peace <3
i like the concept and the overall vibe the album gives, but it can sometimes come off as oversaturated. some songs on the album lwk js sound the same but maybe after a 2nd listen i'll come around.

One of the best movie scores I've ever heard. Epilogue is by far my favorite score on this soundtrack as it revisits every past score, combining them all to tell a single story. This is such a beautiful soundtrack and is also one of the factors that make La La Land such a beautiful and well thought out movie. Each song tells a story that even those who haven't watched Lalaland could understand it. Such a refined piece of art.

Pharrell is such a good artist in his production & mix of this album. This is such a fun album and one of my favorites to listen to. It's really enjoyable and effortlessly beautiful. Even the filler tracks are GOOD.
