Day 100 of listening to an album a day.
This Is the end. It's crazy how fast it's been. To celebrate, I listened to this beast of an album in ONE sitting. I could go further but I'm extremely tired of this.
Start time: about 10 pm, 5/16/2026.

Talking Heads is slowly becoming one of my favorite bands. I used to absolutely despise a lot of their works (basically everything besides Remain in Light). This is the definitive Talking Heads album and man is it fuckin amazing. A lot of the songs hit on this, a lot don’t (mainly the stuff from Talking Heads 77 and More Songs About Buildings and Food). A pretty good studio album! Hypertension obv takes all the schnazz on this baby but MIT is still good. It's super reminiscent of Quarters which was a really nice surprise. The guitar on this thing also goes absolutely bonkers.

When someone told me this was the best gizz album, I knew I had to check it out. And I was left kinda dissapointed.
Its not bad by any means, but a lot of the songs are just extremely boring. Loyalty, Horology, and The Fourth Color are wonderous prog songs.
My hot take is that crumbling castle isnt a 95. Its still great, but like 8/10 great, not a masterpiece. The hook of it is so good and I was just left dissapointed when the song didn't really evolve throughout.

Finals season so I couldn't really listen to anything long.
Heartbeat is one of the best King Crimson New wave era songs. Its genuinely so underrated. I don't even really like new wave but I can admit just how good this song is.
