Less of a return to form than a return to a sound that fans of Lush will appreciate more than the underrated 'Valentine'. Great track.
ps: fans of sometimes by mbv should ignore the top review to avoid getting your hopes up, its absolute nonsense. the similarities start and end with the vaguely shoegazey guitar

first listen 14/01/2026. Fantastic 90s/00s pop rock- a must listen for fans of Fiona Apple or Alanis Morrissette. Bumped it up a few points for the Magnolia tracks that are on the 20th Anniversary which are Mann's best and are inextricably tied to this album
rough song average was around 77 but the cohesiveness and execution of the concept takes it to an 80
The guitar solo takes this from being merely good to quite great- despite this, they still have quite a few songs that are much much better
