First Jimi Hendrix Album I ever listened to. This is Jimi at his most creatively abstract during his short career. I love how this album flows from some of the most intense guitar playing of all time to a slow and calm sound. This album has so many classics like Little Wing and Castles Made of Sand, but there is one song that reigns supreme. One Rainy Wish is not only the best song on this album but my favorite song of all time. I could write a thesis on how great One Rainy Wish is because it ... read more
I LOVE THIS ALBUM. This perfectly blends different sounds to create a beautiful mixture of music. This is one of my mom's favorite albums, and it has become one of mine due to the playful nature of it. I would list my favorite songs on this album, but then I would list every song on this album. The South African melodies mixed with Paul's pop-rock vibe create a truly unique listening experience that cannot be replicated.
The Critics don't know shit. There is probably no other album that I am more emotionally bonded to than this album. I listened to it the week it came out with my parents when I was four years old and have kept listening to it ever since. It has been with me through thick and thin. I don't see myself ever stop loving this album. I understand that the record's second half can be lackluster, but it is still extremely strong. This album means so much to me and has been applied to so many situations ... read more
It's Abbey Road. What can I say that hasn't already been said? The Beatles are the best hit makers of all time, and this album proves this point over and over again. Even the song that Ringo wrote about an octopus is still a banger( and majorly underrated). There is a reason why this is one of the most popular albums of all time and it deserves it.
This album is very good but, unfortunately, very overrated. When this dropped last year, and I heard the hype around a Lil Yachty record, I was confused because I was not expecting anything of value. I listened to it and was surprised because I was not expecting this from a Lil Yachty, but I was still not blown away. I feel like many people saying this was an album of the year are just not very familiar with the Psychedelic Rock scene. however, It will serve as a good point for many people to ... read more
I love this album; the vibe that it gives off is unmatched. It is a unique album to me, but this may be because I am not engrossed in the Japanese rock scene. It's just a beautiful album with haunting vocals. I recommend that anyone who enjoys rock listen to this album. My only Critique is that many songs sound similar, but the ones that stand out hit hard. Definitely a must-listen in my books.
I love this album it embodies the feeling of washed-out emotions so much, even with the limited amount of vocals. Even though this album was released over two decades ago, its influence is only growing. Many up-and-coming artists in the underground, like Flying Fish and Midrift, are taking this sound and mixing it with a more traditional grunge sound. This is genuinely just an album that will leave a lasting impact on all music for the next century.
Before I get flamed for this, I must admit there are many bangers on this album. However, the idea that I was seeing when this album came out that it is a generation-defining album is just wrong. Baby Keem still has a long way to go in developing his style, and even when he does further develop, I don't know if I will love his music. This album feels like it was made for 5'6 little white freshman boys who live in the suburbs. As a 5'11 white Junior boy, this does not hit me as a fantastic ... read more
It's one of, if not the best, country albums of all time. This masterpiece contains so many beautifully crafted stories that are placed into fun, energetic songs that make you want to go drink in a saloon. The influence and reach this album has achieved is incredible it truly laid the groundwork for western country and the country itself. This is legitimately one of the best storytelling albums of all time and that is crazy for an album that was recorded in the 1950s. The fact that this album ... read more
Words cannot describe how excellent this piece of beautiful music is. Nothing I can and will ever say will amount to the beauty of this relatively simple project. Anything I say will not do justice to this project. It feels as if Pharoah Sanders put all the energy he had left in his old age into this project. GET OFF THIS WEBSITE AND LISTEN TO THIS PIECE RIGHT NOW!!!!!
It is said that when a boy finds Steely Dan, he becomes a man, and that is absolutely true. This is the type of music where you just want to crack open a Coors banquet on your back porch while your kids are playing in the yard. This album feels like you are playing marco polo in an above-ground pool. I can't wait till I am a middle-aged man and will be able to float down the Guadalupe River, blasting this album through a shitty speaker I bought from the trailer park where you put in. My ... read more
It's one of the Albums I grew up on. I understand that Vampire Weekend is not for everyone because it can fall into the trap of being "cringe white people music". However, this album has banger after banger. There is not a single song on this album that I do not enjoy. I have been bumping this album since I was 8, and it still comes up in my rotation multiple times a year. While the most popular songs on the album are fire (referring to A-punk and campus), the deeper you go into ... read more
This was the Album of Summer 2023! It is an absolute disgrace that it is rated a 70 (user score). There are so many bangers on this hoe that it makes you not want to listen to any other music for a week after listening to this the first time. My favorites are Sunshine, Basquit, and Mogbe. However, I feel that some of the songs (especially in the album's latter half) focus too much on rapping instead of the more fun pop sound earlier in the album. Still, the pop sound is still very prevalent ... read more
