after wallsocket (which i also loved) i expected her to make another story driven album, but she blew my expectations out of the water, stating sometimes a simple but amazing pop album could be the way to go, sometimes you don’t need the next BIG thing yet.
underscores invites electropop, dance pop, and EDM to her party and it sounds fucking fire, it’s like a mix of Skrillex and popstars in early 2010s if they made an EP together

i listened to this for the first time in 2023 but after listening to a couple songs and going back into the full image i fell in love with it, that was the moment i became a jean fan, blend some dream pop, indie rock, rap, and a little bit of dance, and jungle drums and you get pixel bath shake! one of the best albums oat imo
if i make music eventually Jean will be one of the main influences

pretti is one of the best in the underground rage scene rn, can't wait to see what my boi has been cooking up for the next project he's dropping soon.
this album has fun and bouncy production, also hypnotizing vocals that makes you vibe more, if there were any other rapper that wasn't prettifun hopped on these beats, it wouldn't feel right.
also goes really well alongside a quick gaming session.

this is my favorite out of the 3 Avalanches album
this album sounds like the perfect summer, i’ll say i like it slightly more than SILY, once again blending genres successfully, with the help of awesome features like Danny Brown, MF DOOM, Tame Impala (drums on Going Home), Toto Y Moi, Biz Markie, and etc to create something not only fire as fuck but to capture an experience more than an regular album (which all of The Avalanches albums have done successfully)

listened to this last month, this sounds like if Kid A was if it was more bright, colorful and more chaotic in it's sound, also reminds me of Kero Kero Bonito. (especially Time N Place)

this album feels like Plastic Beach, and Song Machine was rebirthed in south asia.

this album brings these existing sounds to make something new and that is one of the reasons I love the art of sampling, this album is proof anyone can make amazing music, you just gotta put your mind to it, The Avalanches for me is like a mix of Gorillaz and Daft Punk, bringing danceable grooves while combining genres gloriously
