This album is basically a definition of “everything can be too much”. The variety on this is fucking insane, like there’s more genres on this album than I have chromosomes. However, some of them are clearly executed better than others.

This is what I consider to be MJ’s magnum opus. While I do like the other 2 albums from the iconic trilogy a lot, this one just feels the most developed.
Michael’s vocals are fully evolved at this point in time, and he sounds more confident than ever. Like his voice is an additional instrument at this point, thats how varied it is. UPDATE: 92 -> 82, Still my fav album from the OutKast trilogy, it’s just that all of my scores of their albums were inflated lol. Either way, this is still a great rap project.
The atmosphere of this album is really dark and chilling, but also a bit calming. Not on the level of his other work, but to be fair that is a very hard bar to cross lol. Great song nonetheless, Quad did say he’ll do a less ambitious, more simple and fun album this time, and this songs does just that. The chorus is really catchy and the production is really nice, I love the trumpet on here. QUAD DID!
