Miley Cyrus - Something Beautiful
86

Miley, Miley, Miley… I have been waiting for this the longest time EVER!!! I knew she could come up with something as weird and eccentric as herself while still appealing to commercial success (that who the hell cares right?). it's cohesive and interesting from beginning to end and it makes you wonder what she is going to do on the next track constantly. I love the way she was able to move between styles and energies throughout the whole project
definitely one of my contender for ... read more

Addison Rae - Addison
68

i understand the hype but it is not for me. i respect it/her tho! she shows a lot of potential as well as a deep love for music and her idols while creating her own identity but yea not for me

Kara Jackson - Why Does the Earth Give Us People to Love?
85

when this album came out, I gave it a 90/100; now, it's a 85/100. the songwriting is fire and her vocals are incredible and there's not much to criticize... very interesting

Djo - The Crux
80

a love letter to his musical inspirations — or at least that's what I take off the album. it's fun and it's enjoyable with a couple of great tracks... I like it

Kali Uchis - Sincerely,
87

AOTY contender for sure!! definitely my favorite of the year so far!
even though I love when Kali sings in Spanish — usually more than when she sings in English — this is possibly her richest album to date! super cohesive the entire time with banger after banger. the transitions are to die for!!! I am completely amazed by it!

Men I Trust - Equus Caballus
83

i prefer Equus Asinus to this one but this is one is still pretty cool! imagine releasing both back to back… iconic

Jeff Goldblum & The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra - Still Blooming
60

he chose great vocalists to sing and the instrumentals are great but it's nothing mind-blowing

Bon Iver - SABLE, fABLE
85

what a sonically beautiful and rich album! I think it's going to be one of my most years of the year

Julien Baker - Send A Prayer My Way
72

i have mixed feelings about this one. it's fine and enjoyable (literally listened to it three times in a row) but it is also forgettable. personally, I am more drawn to the Julien's songs rather than TORRES' even though I am not (YET) a huge Julien fan — out of three boys she is my least favorite. I put some songs in my 2025 playlist, let's see what happens. for now: enjoyable but forgettable

Nick Drake - Pink Moon
89

with time, this album may become a ≤95 but as of right now it is not and I don't know why yet... I think I just need time… but it is undoubtedly beautiful and I truly enjoyed it

Tamino - Every Dawn's a Mountain
82

Tamino is an artist I have known for a while but whose albums I never payed much attention: usually I would just hit play and listen as i was studying or reading. this one was no expecting; however, I felt more drawn to it as it made think of Nebraska. plus his vocals were doing something to me. cant wait to listen to the rest

Solange - A Seat at the Table
85

I used to listen to this album back in 2016-17 but then suddenly I thoroughly forgot about it. the other day it came to my mind again and I relistened to it… boy it is gooddddddd! the vibes are immaculate, the melodies astonishing, the lyrics incredible, the message on point! I love it

Men I Trust - Equus Asinus
86

it's interesting… I really enjoy this album! It has been nonstop playing in the background of my day-to-day life but also on my mind! not much else to say tho

Japanese Breakfast - For Melancholy Brunettes (& sad women)
80

supposedly I should love her music but there's something in it that I just don't vibe with. nevertheless, it is good album with some great songs that have been casually playing in my 2025 playlist. maybe with time it grows on me…

Selena Gomez - I Said I Love You First
70

there are certainly some good songs on this record (Ojos Tristes, Cowboy, and Stained) so I don't share the some — major — opinion that it sticks. however, I do believe there was a lot of wasted potential that was canalized into generic songs

Ariana Grande - eternal sunshine deluxe: brighter days ahead
84

THIS IS LITERALLY THE ENERGY I WANTED SINCE THE DAY MISS GRANDE ANNOUNCED ETERNAL SUNSHINE LAST YEAR!!
It's deeply personal and serious yet keeps that playfulness so characteristic of her. These six songs are clearly the children of all her past albums as you can listen to little nods to all of them (I love that!). Regarding the production, this dirtier/less perfect style suits her better as well as the goal of the project more. I was really happy we got these!!! and I am really excited ... read more

Sade - Love Deluxe
88

i had listened to this album before (once or twice in the summer of 2023) and I knew it slapped but honestly I had forgotten how good it is!!! This is probably the most sensual album of all time but in a very delicate and non-physical way, do you know what I mean? Sade's voice is so so so soothing, the instrumentals are so divine, the production is exquisite… perfection!!

André 3000 - Moving Day
65

despite being from 2023, I only came across this EP a couple of weeks ago while I was doing some school work and I enjoyed it! actually I enjoyed it more than New Blue Sun but neither do I know why nor can I explain why. it's just the vibe… maybe it's more engaging? idk I will again multiples time just like New Blue Sun. thank you André

Lady Gaga - MAYHEM
81

wow what a fun project!! it's very eclectic (I mean no surprise since Disease is the first track and Die With A Smile the last), very expensive in sound, and very engaging. and yes, I do say that even though there second half of the album is less interesting (it is not bad!!). personally, i really enjoyed Gaga channeling Prince and Bowie into Vanish Into You and Killah (best second imo) and loved the heaviness of the production and arrangement of some tracks (Abracadabra and Perfect ... read more

FKA twigs - EUSEXUA
90

DAMN!!!! WOW!!! THIS IS SUCH A COOL PROECT!!
I truly think FKA twigs is one of the best artist we have right now: she is daring, unapologetic, and so talented! the feeling I have is that she has these crazy visions and her mind and tries to achieved them in real life no matter how ludicrous they may see at first — and we have to thank her for that!! the production of this album and the way she works her voice is literally 10/10; the aura is so futuristic and alien you feel the need to ... read more
