This song is pretty weak and I'm not a huge fan of the hybrid trap approach, although it's still good outside of that.
Honestly, this song's a little weak considering how good it could've been.
Unfortunately, a lot of the drops that (to me) feel like they should be huge just are a bit weak, as Virtual Riot's definitely Burning Out (super original, I know) in terms of creativity and sound design, but this album does have some very polished and overall insanely good tracks once you filter through all of the "just decent" stuff.
Definitely sounds like it would be on Tales of Afterglow, and I like it a lot. The chill approach is executed well through the slow tempo, simple drums, and somber instrumentation, and overall it's a great track.
This album is basically what you'd come to expect of Aphex Twin; crazy breakbeats, weird instrumentation, and a very quirky atmosphere. A very polished attempt at doing what he does best: confusing me.
Is it literally just a cover album? Yes. Are all of the songs worse than the originals? Yes. I still like it though.
As a first introduction to Weezer, a band I have long been procrastinating listening to, this album was great. It's nothing crazy innovative, but Weezer marks off all of the boxes on the checklist of a good album, and delivers a pretty solid rock album. I don't understand why Island in the Sun is so popular though.
This song has grown on me a ton. While it's nothing too crazy, it's an extremely polished song where GIMS sticks to his guns really well. Once you get it in your head it's not going to come out for like a week.
Not only is this song insanely boring despite having a somewhat interesting beat for once, they didn't even try to hide the AI cover.
GIMS actually did a really good job with this one, and even with how similar all of his stuff sounds, this one is pretty memorable. Good song to play soccer to.
Again, GIMS has never been one to push any boundaries or do anything too crazy, but this song is still decent. A little underwhelming considering his average quality though.
This may be nothing crazy or groundbreaking, but it’s catchy and had a nice relaxed vibe.
Unbelievably catchy and honestly is really cool despite being somewhat uncreative in terms of structure and sound design.
