i haven't even finished this album but im disappointed. this just sounds like a pretty run-of-the-mill drake album. it does feel more consistent than usual though. but this is all just so average. Drake seems to have lost all his motivation to actually make art. there is simply no fun to be found in this album. yes the songs do in fact make me bop my head, but as soon as its over its out of my head.
Plus these "disses" are so fucking pathetic bro I swear. how is this man STILL ... read more
MY GOAT IS BACK!!!
with his best work since his first album. god what an amazing experience this project was
i dont really know much about tory, but what i know i dont like. despite that, its hard to hate this album, the vibes are just so good.
as a certified Isaiah glazer... this songs solid yk. doesnt blow me away or anything like that but its good. the little snippet he played at the end of th VM sounds amazing tho
the 5 year long wait was 100% worth it. while he doesnt give us a long experience, its consistent, which i think matters a lot more. there really arent any songs on here that stand out as bad, a few ones are are worse tho (mainly sex appeal, didnt really fuck with that one).
i think the biggest thing to take from this project, is keems growth as a writer. he couldnt have made songs like "No Blame" and "I am not a Lyricist" before. hes 100% matured and he proofs it with a ... read more
a smooth, low stakes album by brent. while there isnt much of an artistic evolution, there 100% is a personal one on here.
its finally here, after 8 years J. Cole has finally released The Fall-Off... and I'm unsure how to feel. there is no way around this album being good, but this felt like it needed to be a homerun, undeniable. what we got instead was a 24 song long album, with incredible highs but also a lot of lows. it does a really good job at encapsulating Coles career but fails at leaving the impact i was hoping it would.
though the more i sit with this record and reflect on Coles career, I think that ... read more
I overall think it was fine just doesnt really do much for me... it feels too comfortable in a sense. after 8 years of waiting you would almost think Rocky felt like he needed to prove something. it doesnt feel like the stakes are that high yk.
hate to see "ROBBERY" get heated on so much, think its one of the most fun and creative songs on here.
I lwk like these guys a lot and this album was a massive let down holy shit
the highs on this album are even better than "I Love You" but its also more inconsistent than that album.
what a song to randomly release like this. DTTG was kind of a let down but good to know that was just him fucking around, bro still got it
this is by far his most consistent project and also reaches some of his highest heights yet. though i sill think he has a lot more potential
while it does just kinda feel like one song repeated 11 times... damn that song is fucking good
its good but very uninspired. also why the fuck is chris brown on here bro
this ep just kinda left me confused, not even the new production and the fact he is barely rapping, but the concept.
I used to be a pretty damn big NF fan, but even as i stopped enjoying his music ive always admitted that he had really great direction for his albums, at least when it came to their concepts. through out his whole carrier hes slowly been digging deeper and deeper into his trauma, until HOPE, where it seemed like he had found the light at the end of the tunnel.
HOPE felt like an ... read more
a funny but also kinda worthless project ngl. this could have just been an ep with like 5 songs.
