So I have already written a review that was my jumbled thoughts about this record. But there was a yearn on me to organize my thoughts and write a much more in depth introspection on this masterpiece of an album. Not only is it the GREATEST metalcore album ever written, it is one of the best albums for me PERIOD. Like no second thought. If I could go back in time for anything in my past, it would be for this to grace my ears for the first time again. When I say this shit is life-changing for ... read more
I think this is their best record. Solace is close behind, but this is just what mathcore is all about. Those throat-shredding screams with the brutal Car Bomb chugs and syncopated kick patterns. Just the push and pull of their rhythm sections will have you second guessing how you need to headbanging. Very mathy, technical, and brutal too. This shit will pummel you with its sludgy breakdowns, but also throw you dizzying mathcore rhythmic sections. I fuckin love it man. I also cant forget to ... read more
Hello, I am Loathe's #1 fan. Uhhhhh, this is pretty good. My jaw isn't on the floor with this one ngl. The mixing is pretty busy, and messy. It has a similar effect to the song Gored. It just sounds so heavy and abrasive, which I'm always here for. Either way, even if this didn't WOW ... read more
Mr. Casablancas, do you really need this much autotune? The song goes fucking hard but Julian just throws a wrench into the whole thing, thinking autotune will serve a greater purpose for the song. NO STOP. His best use of autotune isn't even in one of his own projects, it's his Daft Punk feature, in my opinion. The band sounds really really good, that's why my score isnt terribly low. But for the love of God, Julian. The Strokes are The Strokes. The Voidz are the Voidz. Keep ... read more
Shout-out to @Wilder for throwing this band at me on good ole Discord. It's been such a long while ago since they recommended me this, but I'm getting around to this just now. Abriction is a solo project all done by an individual named Meredith. This project is more known to be a blackgaze type of band, and there's certainly a lot of that included in this album too. But there's soooo many different genres riddled throughout this record. You get metalcore, post-hardcore, emo, ... read more
