3rd time's the charm, right?
To me, Coldplay is many things. Scratch that, Coldplay is honestly ALOT. One of the most successful bands ever, a classic perhaps, and one band that is possibly past its prime. Following the band's last release, White Pony, couldn't have been easy for Chino and the gang. So instead of an attempted masterpiece to ride the same high, the band goes in a different direction. A self-titled album that doubles down on the heavier sound of the band is quite the move. And I LOVE self-titled albums. Vital Signs, being a last addition to the album, is crazy because that's easily the highlight. This album rocks, but it should've cut a bit of instrumental from the camera eye.
YYZ is perfect
Deaf (Tones) Pt. 3: The REAL good shit
Where to start with this one... If annoying 13-year-olds are the fans clamoring that ATF is where Deftones peaked, this is the one pretentious hipsters claim (I half kid). Using the smashing pumpkins as the blueprint to describe 90's Deftones, adrenaline is obviously the underrated first album (Gish), around the fur is the popular second (Siamese Dreams), which means we naturally reach the best of the trio to wrap of the decade (Mellon Collie). And ... read more
