This album makes you just want to turn the volume up all the way and be totally enveloped in the music. Pure bliss.

My goodness, this album has grown on me so damn much. I love it. I'd never heard of Hum at all so now I'm going back and learning about them.

As for this album, it's incredible. Huge guitar sounds, both driving and spacey sounds working together in unison. Bass and drums are a solid backing which adds weight to the guitars and carries the beat. I actually like the mellow, low style of the vocals, I think it compliments the music well.

I've been getting into Deftones lately so I'm no expert but this is a solid entry in their discography. I'm hard pressed to call it a perfect album, but it's growing on me slowly so who knows. It's a tough decision between this or Inlet by Hum for my fave album of 2020.

Genuinely, I need someone to explain to me what's so special about this album. Am I listening to it wrong? I understand the noise is a part of it, but sometimes it's the only thing I can hear and it's not satisfying, it's just messy.
Only Shallow is really the only track I can get into.
