Lil Peep - Come Over When You're Sober, Pt. 2
75

Still underrated with great hooks

Favorite Tracks: Sex With My Ex, 16 Lines, Life is Beautiful, White Girl

Lil Peep - HELLBOY
86

Still one of the most underrated and best cloud rap mixtapes to ever graze the genre. Either that or I have major stockholm syndrome

Car Seat Headrest - Teens of Denial
72

Didn't click with me but Fill in the Blank and Cosmic Hero are certified bangers

(someone remind me to relisten to this again)

Car Seat Headrest - Twin Fantasy (Face to Face)
94

So so so good... make horeny?

Giles Corey - Giles Corey
87

Tearjerker and encapsulates the feeling of isolation.

90

Good album but kinda overrated to be fair, I feel like the album becomes increasingly weak and is left uncriticized but a certified obscure whiteboy banger.

A Tribe Called Quest - The Low End Theory
95

Certified classic. You cannot claim to know anything about hip-hop without knowing Mr. Fifer.

Frank Ocean - channel ORANGE
82

Certified hood and suburban classic all in one!

Frank Ocean - Blonde
92

Just a stripped-down bare emotional masterpiece. I can totally see this being a very male forwarded album but my god does it work the tears.

Favorite Tracks: Ivy, Pink + White, Skyline To, Nights, White Ferrari, Seigfried, Godspeed, Solo
Least Favorite: Nikes

The Antlers - Hospice
86

Didn't click for me as much as other users but nonetheless beautifully expressive and the vocals are just heaven-sent

Xiu Xiu - Fabulous Muscles
89

Beautifully conceptual, amazing story telling and overall thematically expressive.

92

God damn did this album hit hard. Experimental masterpiece. So glad to see Apistat Commander at a 100 score, should stay.

Favorite Tracks: Sad Pony Guerrilla Girl, Apistat Commander, Blacks, Fast Car
Least Favorite: Pink City

Genesis Owusu - Smiling With No Teeth
92

Even with an 81 score at the moment of writing this it is still incredibly underrated and will, for as long as I can guess, be a top R&B album for me. This album grows on you INCREDIBLY well with me eventually storing more than half of the album onto my personal playlist

Favorite Tracks: The Other Black Dog, Centrefold, Waitin' On Ya, Don't Need You, Drown, Gold Chains, Whip Cracker, Easy, Bye Bye

Black Country, New Road - Ants From Up There
100

A magnum opus of a record to sign off the lead singer Isaac, he truly gives a once in a lifetime performance to close his lead. The instrumentals are colorful and arranged magnificently. Amazing story-telling and allegories all around including Bread Song. Then, tragic tracks like Haldern, The Place Where He Inserted The Blade, Concorde, and Snow Globes solidifies, if ever thought, that this band is NOT a one-trick pony

This album will forever remain a classic in the new rebirth of London ... read more

Mac Miller - Circles
89

A beautifully tragic posthumous release. Mesmerizing sonically and lyrically. The brutal honesty of these lyrics will make you question the dialogue of your subconscious.

Favorite Tracks: Circles, Good News, Hand Me Downs, Hands, Surf, Blue Word
Least Favorite Tracks: Everybody (not bad)

black midi - Hellfire

Wow... just wow. This marks my first review on the site but I have been a long time lurker and have listen to large large large amounts of music recommended and, sadly, not recommended by this site. I plan to do more reviews in the future and I hope to meet some new and fun faces to share my musical experiences with! But without further ado, here is my review of Black Midi's 2022 release "Hellfire".

After listening to Black Country, New Road I was very eager to check out some new ... read more

On Nhawthorne's review of Lil Yachty - Let's Start Here.
"I respect your opinion, I find this album not to be one-note and I suppose I can admit I'm fairly bias when it comes to pushing the boundaries of hip-hop (Injury Reserve's BTTIGTP is one of my favorite albums OAT) but I did not get the impression that the vocals were one-note, again, could just be me. I know for sure I will be re-listening to it. and I do agree some of the song-writing is one-dimensional and lacks depth but personally, these tracks make up in the sound and cheekiness like Pretty. You have to admit the writing on the Black Seminole is amazing though I found that to be an incredible song by ever metric. Great Review! <333"
