really upset to find out this album's title is not, in fact, "take off your pants and JACK IT" :(
This post isn't so much about the music itself, but rather why these projects work together so well as a compilation
If you want to hear my more specific thoughts about the songs you can find them here

Dear God this album is fucking incredible. Absolutely timeless in both sound as well as their messaging. Advice from christmas past sets the tone for this album so well, an ominous and cynical commentary infused with tongue and cheek political satire. This album might not be for everyone, but as soon as i head that intro i knew i was going to absolutely LOVE this project, but i had no idea just how right i was.
Government Flu may very well be my favourite song on the entire album, a track ... read more
This is in no way perfect, it's rough around the edges and full of little imperfections, and i wouldn't have it any other way. This is punk in it's purest, rawest, most unfiltered and true form, bluntly telling you exactly what they're thinking while also being filled to the brim with nuance and masterful satire. The worst part is how well this project aged, we're still facing the same issues the Kennedy's were facing over 40 years ago, the only difference being ... read more
I want to start this off by saying that I know this album's not that deep. I'm not shitting on the album for the music specifically, but rather how much of a soulless and out of touch marketing tactic this is. It's unimaginably synthetic and artificial, pretty fitting considering this is an album about Brisk. The entire project feels like it's on it's hands and knees begging for you to laugh, praying you'll send it to someone else. It's pathetic, unfunny, and ... read more
It's good. That's all I really have to say. The album's definitely worth a listen, and it's really cool to see Danny get so many incredible artists he's personally inspired by to make this album with him, and it works well. That's about it. It doesn't really jump out at me in any specific way, but it's a cool project to check out. I'm sure it'll grow on me with a few more listens like every Danny Brown album does, but I don't really have ... read more
(This is kinda just a compilation of all my thoughts for the Iceman rollout so far, touching on both singles, but giving my individual ratings for each one)
I don't consider myself a drake fan, and the only album I've heard in full was the absolute nothingburger of 'For All the Dogs', but I genuinely think this is going to be a REALLY solid project. "What Did I Miss' isn't anything groundbreaking, but it's a really fun and well executed track that ... read more

fuck everybody who said this album was gonna be trash because JID is supposed to burnout or smthm
(gonna write my actual thoughts later just wanted to call out everybody who didn't believe in this project)
(also fuck slant)
(I'm rating this based on how the new tracks change the listening experience for Veteran)
As much as I'm happy to see new JPEG music, I gotta admit I'm a little dissapointed. No songs are new, and none of them feel super necessary. Songs like man purse and ski mask are good, but they both feel out of place. All of them felt like they were perfectly fine only being on "Not on Veteran", except for maybe Ski Mask, which you could've replaced something like 1488 with. ... read more
My first Pantheress project :)
I listened to this project immediately after the soulless nothingburger that was the new Arcade Fire album, and this is the most incredible palette cleanser I was in such desperate need of. This album is so fun start to finish, never a dull moment in all of the 20 minute runtime. This album is short, straight-to-the-point, and truly unforgettable. From the gorgeous cover art to the album itself, there's no better way to describe it other than love at first ... read more
My first ever Arcade Fire Album :) (Fuck these guys)
This album is 35 minutes and 18 seconds of padding, with only 7 minutes of something I actually gave a shit about. I saw the ratings for this album, and went into it incredibly optimistic thinking people were just picking on an easy target, and quickly learnt that the hate is 100% deserved. This album is a compilation of hyper-forgettable afterthoughts with two semi-interesting moments that are soo short that you may very well miss if you ... read more
This is an absolute gem. I found the promo video for this and fell in love instantly, and it was made all the better when I learnt all the songs from it could be played in full on this project. With so much new experimentation among genres, it's hard to imagine someone that's truly like no other. This album truly is one of a kind, and it's incredible. I absolutely love Superstar, capturing everything I love about Travis Scott's "Pornography", and putting their own ... read more
Just reviewing the extended cut of "Run the Jewels". STH is easily my favourite album ever made, so when I saw any new content relating to it I was so fucking excited, and even more so when I found out they extended Run the Jewels, which one of my biggest criticisms of the album being that despite being an interlude, RTJ is too good to be this short. It's cool. It's nice to see new content for STH but it really just feels like they did another take over the same beat and ... read more
Just rating touched by an angel since I'm pretty sure it's the only difference between this and the original album. On a surface level, it's an ok song, but what interests me the most is that I rated "Song about Sorrel" WAY higher than this. On it's own, Sorrel is a pretty weak track, and it might seem pretty weird I would give it and 80, and only give Touched by an Angel a 65. There's one key difference between the two, and that's how well they fit into ... read more
One of the few jpeg songs i'm really happy i was late to
if this was the highlight of your v-day, just know there's always next year❤️
Some of you need to grow the fuck up. If someone doesn't like this album, it doesn't justify you sending death threats or just being an all around dick to them. Music is subjective, and nobody gives a shit if someone doesn't conform to your hivemind opinion. This album isn't for everyone, and believe it or not that's ok. I love songs like cult status, but some dude rapping over literal screeching and shit isn't for everyone. Just because you have a different ... read more
