[DEATH GRIPS DISCOGRAPHY 2/8]
COME OUT YOUR SHIT IS GONE!
Hell yeah, what a debut. You heard ''Exmilitary'' and thought ''can they make something better?''. Well they definetelly fucking did.
The Money Store is a perfect Death Grips album. Pretty much everything on it got was improved: from production to consistency of the record. I simply cant get enough of it. At first i didnt really like it, but this album grew on me so much. Production is as refined ... read more
[DEATH GRIPS DISCOGRAPHY: 1/8]
My first discography ranking. Decided to choose Death Grips as the first group because i found myself enjoying pretty much all of their albums. And as much as i enjoy them i have things to say about them. With every album they change their sound slightly which is why i thought it would be most interesting to talk about their discography. Alright, without further ado
Exmilitary - the first release from the legendary hip-hop trio. On this album, they sound their ... read more
Album so weird that when spotify ad started i thought its the next track.
EXPERIMENTAL RAP is way too pretentious for its own good. It tries to be something it possibly cant be. Album that feels like it was made with a thought in head thats it good just because, hey, its JPEGMAFIA! He made Veteran etc.!
Legit, i started wheezing when i heard another unnecessery, completely out of place DUBSTEP DROP. FUCKING DUBSTEP. Why we doing dubstep all of a sudden here?
This album has some actual great ... read more
Even disbanded, black midi lives on in its former members not as a band, but more like a style, a spirit. A cathartic sound that shakes you to the core. Every member had their own style of playing music, their own vision, which all combined gave us Black Midi. Their solo works show their vision as best as possible. Emotionally lush and melodically brilliant, My New Band Believe is Camerons Picton magnificent debut LP outside of black midi, on which he does what he does best
Actually great, but you can feel that this album was remade like, how many times, atleast nine?
Just imagine how much AI vocals this dude had to delete and actually sing. Overall this is not bad. But this is no prime Kanye in any way, just to get a listenable release from him after all that bullshit is surprising. Good job, dont stop taking meds Kanye.
Overall: 7/10
Sweet, gentle Brent rnb tunes, but throughout the whole album i couldnt get rid of the feeling that i heard this exact album in past already. A great listen that unfortunately brings nothing new to the table.
Devastating. Thought-provoking. Beatiful
4YEO is a song-equivalent to a gut punch that knocks the breath out of you.
It feels intimate to listen to this album, especially knowing that i was dedicated to his dead friends daughter. Listening to this album feels like eardropping on a random conversation that crushes your soul because you wasnt expecting what you will hear next. A conceptual masterpiece, that most people sadly label ''boring''. This album isnt supposed to be ... read more
My first Benito album. Super bowl halftime really sold it to me.
What can i say - its amazing, but its very hard to listen to in one sitting. But this is some of the most creative reggaeton ive heard in a while. I really like how it really explores all of the latin culture, meaning: latin backvocals here and there that just sound OH SO GOOD, usage of puerto-ricon classic instruments, and overall just the vibe of having a good time. This is THE album for concerts, weddings, clubs etc. ... read more
Femntanyls music feels like its stagnating. Making music in such experimental genres, their debut LP doesnt feel much different from their EPs (and tell you what i liked Chaser). But the problem is that every drop after that... just sounds the same. This release, while not exactly horrible, leaves many things to be desired.
The only halftime show that made me wanna dance. This half-time show is literally how its supposed to be - celebrate music, culture and just have good time.
The thing with J.Coles music is that everyone only talk about him when listening to an album. Thats pretty much the problem with all of hip-hop music these days. People focus on the person, not his craft. I mean i can understand, you cant separate the artist from its art especially in a context of writing a critic review. But is it completely fair?
J.Cole was always a white crow in rap industry. He never flexed his ''bands'' and ''bitches'' he is fucking. ... read more
With astonishing poetry and personal growth, Earl releases his “Love Live Laugh” album, that marks a start of a new, brighter and happier chapter of his life
A long-anticipated comeback album from Chance proves that hes got something better to say than was said on ''The Big Day''. Everything is way better on this album, except for its consistency. Album suffers from unnecessary bloatness which manifests in missed ''perfect timings'' to end a song, some mediocre songs spread throughout the album that not entirely ruin the experience, but makes it less enjoyable than it couldve been
At the end, Chance proved the ... read more

Beastie Boys inspired duo comes back with their new album ''HYPERYOUTH'' which sounds as extreme as never sounded. While listening to Beastie Boys, ive always felt like their music lacks something, and this album has this ''something''. Everything is turned up to 100% - production, bars, flows. Everything is made for you to not overthink and just dance. Amazing hardcore songs ... read more
Ominously beatiful prequel to world built by Ethel Cain. Dark and thrilling story hidden behind a wall of exquisite and refined sound, which shows Ethel Cains mastery in composing and story-telling
Im glad we all collectively agree that this is not how things should be in the world
