Dude drops 16 extra songs, calls this A DELUXE (basically a new album) only 5 MONTHS LATER. I love this man.
And yes. obviously, this album is amazing. Well, mostly, some songs are not as good as other, but listenable. Anyway, its an amazing gift from JPEGMAFIA and i enjoyed listening to it
Some quality post-rock/space rock experience, the only problem being is that some of the songs struggle to reach the ''WOW'' effect that this kind of albums pulls listener in, yet still i had a great listening experience, some songs even causing shivers (HI Chaos ending is amazing)
FKA Twigs goes Charlie XCX style releasing what might be a new standard for pop music, just like BRAT did. We are entering a new era of club/pop music where experiments and deconstructions are greeted with open arms, because goddamn does it sound good. Yet still this album has some misses, some questionnable ideas that, i wont say ruin, but knock you out for a second out of the immersion
Its not just about that yachty finally made a good album. Its about how yachty switched to a completely opposite genre (from trap to psych) and made it GOOD. If you want to get into psych rock/pop/soul/neo - this is literally the album to listen to first. Could someone even imagine that yachty was capable of pulling such amazing compositions? Not me, definetly. Yet he did it.
This is how you treat your posthumous albums, UMG and Sony.
Thats crazy how even tho these songs never released for whatever reason Mac Miller didnt want, they actually sound amazing. Rather it be that Mac Miller put his whole self into songs, or that his label actually put some work into mixing and engineering this record. Hope tho that this will be his final one, because i doubt it can get BETTER from here. (except for Maclib if it ever releases)
RIP Mac Miller
If beatiful was an album:
The absolute power of this album to calm me down, just relax and, as one smart guy said, not overthink shit. This album already became a great part of my life, helping me get trough some shit i found myself in. It really is a therapy session wrapped in an album. Found myself even crying to some songs (Eternal for some reason just hits something deep inside me. I would call this feeling "Itching of the soul"). A very aesthetic and beatiful album, and an ... read more
Snoop Dogg and Dr.Dre go jazzy and more funk on their new collab album, which ends up being a formula with 70 to 30 succes rate.
Legendary hip-hop group reunite almost 20 years later to deliver what can be called one of the best political hip-hop that was ever created. Amazing commentary on american society and its problems. Leave behind commentary and you still have a brilliantly produced album, thanks to incredible Q-Tip, Ali and Jack White on the guitar with some tasteful Elton John samples there and there.
R.I.P. Phife Dawg
Lithonia fucking majestic. Sadly cant say the same thing about most of other songs. Gambino goes experimental and achieves partial success with super great songs and super quiestionnable ones
This is the type of album where "dont judge a book by its cover" doesnt work. It sounds exactly how it looks.
Just let Juice rest in peace goddammit
"Beatiful" wont be enough to describe this album. Billie puts her whole soul and then some in lyrics, her vocals and all of this is accompanied by amazing orchestral type instrumentals.
At this point Kendrick is not even digging up a grave for Drake. He decends into underworld to personally slap him right in the face
Tyler comes back with a new record on which he opens up even mroe talking about his struggles to keep relationships, identity crisis, paranoia and even more. This album hits a new level of ''personal'' for Tyler, opening him up from more ''human'' side rather than rapper.
