This is grabage, and I don’t like it. I’ve always liked Drake, but not like that, and this isn’t good, like at all. Even the best song, Nokia, has been overplayed so much and Die Trying is the only good song still standing from this for now.
A 68??? In my opinion, this might be up there with the best albums of this year, and we get a 68. Sometimes I think the people on this website just like one genre and listen to others, expecting it to be the same. Like this shit is fire bro.
Every song is catchy and fire, this feels like a album that could last forever... oh wait... it has.
Wow... um... yeah. He manages to make each song name the whole idea of each track and in the end it combines for an amazing "story" that is being told. You can easily tell there is some girl he wants that he can't get and wants to prove himself to, and you don't have to have a brain to understand what this mixtape is about and manages to make this whole idea so dark.
This is one of the greatest albums of all time. I don't know if this is a hot take, but this clears Rodeo, from start to finish. No misses on this trap record, how could you hate on it especially with the mix of music in terms of variety of sound. You go from party tracks like NO BYSTANDERS and SICKO MODE to more chill, laid back, late night songs like ASTROTHUNDER AND STOP TRYING TO BE GOD. This record also has one of the best features of all time in my opinion, that being Don on ... read more
Yeah, this might be album of the year, and of course it's some underground music. I feel like the underground is on top this year, just like every year. I will say one thing, he sounds nearly the same on every track but every track is fire.
I think this album is purely overhated right now specifically because the ending is weak and gives a bad taste in many mouths, but the first 11 tracks are all fire in my opinion. Sofaygo showed up and performed greatly, like he was trying to prove something. Don crushed it as usual. Sheck is just Sheck, idk. Trav on the other hand, really brought this project down somehow, it's like he isn't trying AT ALL. He sounds like he just wqoke up on half the songs and the other half that he ... read more
Boring second half brings down how I view this album, and the artists on this project aren’t the best. The only thing decent about this is Metro’s production and still, it’s some of his worst I’ve heard yet. Maybe I’m just deaf or something but this isn’t as good of a project as a lot may say, it feels like a bunch of filler placed around one hit and labeled a project.
Decent project but feels slightly like he’s in the shadow of J Cole, the project sounding like a more washed version of J Cole, though Temptations is a fire track and will definitely be going back to it.
I liked it, I think it was good, not many misses throughout this album, and listening back… THUG CARRIED. Seriously though, great album, one of the better pop records I have listened to and in my opinion, there’s no filler in this project compared to other pop projects where 6 tracks sound the same.
Amazing outro track, besides that though, there is not much to be said, it feels kind of repetitive to what happened previously in his catalog. Like he fits the way he raps amazingly but it gets boring and repetitive after a while since he’s just on the same subject. It’s good but not great for me.
What can you hate about this project? The storytelling, the whole idea of it, immaculate. The only problem I have with it is that it is such a good project that his next project will get hated since it’s most likely not going to be on the same level or better than this.
I mean… it’s alright. There are a few songs where I’m just like… yeah. Other times, I’m like… huh. And then other times I’m like… this is the most popular song from Kendrick? This HUMBLE song… this is his most streamed song on Spotify?!
I think the only reason this album gets such bad rep is because it is the follow up to Rodeo, and obviously it’s not going to be as good, but I feel like it’s too hated and is a decent album.
Personally, I don’t care for Yeezus, really feels like a complete stand out in his catalog and considering the other projects beforehand from TCD to MBDTF, this one just does not match what I expected from this album, I think it just caught me off guard in a bad way, especially because beforehand the only song I had heard was Bound 2 and I thought this album would be just like that, turns out it’s not. Clearly Yeezus is just not my style.
One of my favorite Kanye projects, can’t believe he made such a good album in such a horrible time, and would let this album go on to inspire a new style in hip-hop while also containing too many bangers
