Never been a huge Tyler fan, but you can't argue how amazing this album is and I am pretty sure that my most listened to song this year is St. Chroma.
DBR is very underrated and this mixtape contains one of the best Travis songs ever made (Grey). However, a few duds here and there kind of bring down the album, has highs and lows.
Best from the trilogy, impacted the genre as a whole.
(BUT HE MADE GRADUATION)
Makes me forgot everything Kanye has done in the past few years with every listen.
In my opinion, the only problem with this album is that it is too short, but flawless in everything else.
Such good production from Madlib plus an amazing rap performance from Freddie Gibbs, how could you go wrong? The chemistry between the two is too good to be true.
(By the way, the 4 track run from Shitsville - Uno is insane and includes some of my favorite Gibbs songs ever made)
The vibes this mixtape brought to the table are insane, you cannot say you do not like a single song off this whole mixtape.
Insane cover art for Denzel's worst project since Imperial, not a bad listen overall though.
Banger after banger after banger, I guess that is what you get when listening to Zel
Hot take: This album is so overrated, maybe I need to relisten but honestly, the album does not live up to the hype that has surrounded for years now.
Not it for me, this album is just mid song after mid song with a couple hits like "Way Bigger" and "What You Need"
Edit: I have listened to a few other songs outside of these two again on the album and it's slowly growing on me.
Such a phenomenal album by Denzel, one of my personal favorites. Almost flawless, but the album contains THE BLACKEST BALLOON | THE 13LACKEZT 13ALLOON, which is not the worst listen, but not the best either.
MBDTF is the best album ever made and you cannot tell me otherwise.
This album contains Cardigan, After Party, Can't Feel My Legs, Had Enough, No Photos, and No Idea, which are all near perfect if not perfect songs put into this album to create a heavenly listen.
Great late night album, will never understand why this album is hated so much. Better Version of Life of a DON.
