This album just is. Besides best of you it generates no buzz at all. And it's so forgettable.
This doesn't hold up as well as their other albums, but it stays catchy and fun like all pixies albums.
This one leans a bit more into punk territory. It still continues all the standards of a pixies album.
Demondice discography review #3: To Demon A Dice
Meh. I can't really choose a best or worst track cus this is just rough all around. The intro stands as a point I wanna mention. "Another perfect day in paradise" followed by gun shot sounds would've been genius on watpad.
Demondice discography review #2: Good Demon, M.A.A.D. Dice
I think I owe Alkatraz a formal apology. This album is horrendous. She-devil is easily the worst song. The bit rate is lower than I though was possible, and then she throws in buzzer sound effects. I genuinely don't know what could've happened to that song, because the vocals and the rest of the songs sound completely fine. The lyrics are also way worse than alkatraz. "The birds that fly are leaving chem trails in the sky." ... read more
Echoes was the main attraction. That song was an incredible 20 minute sebaticle. That song is placed after several other fun songs, though they're less memorable than echoes.
This the greatest cover of all time. Johnny takes trent's song about self hatred from losing a relationship and turns it to a take about an old man at the end of his rope with many regrets. It really does feel the song was meant for Johnny all along. The lyrics reflect aspects of his personal life, turning the chorus about self harm into regret of hurting loved ones. Beutiful, crushing, perfect.
Demon dice discrogaphry review #1: Section.Dice
The intro was easily the best track. Knowing this was electro swing, I expected to hate every moment of this album. I think I know now that the genre works best when it's taken much slower and calmer. The next couple of songs are decent. Nothing to write hone about, kinda forgettable. The album fully derails at rumor though. That song was abhorred. The randomly thrown in Japanese works when your aesthetic it based around anime, not when you're ... read more
Dave was on another level. I can't belive he went from nirvana to this with the same level of success
Conceptually this is really cool. I like the idea of two different stories being told based on how you listen. I don't the beats are as Interesting as TPAB though.
Damn. After evil empire I was expecting something forgettable but this is good. This thing is brutal in so many ways. With any political protest album it stays relevant to this day.
Like I said with fashion nugget, thus album is full of great songs and a bunch of fluff. Bonus points for not having race car ya-yas.
