Bo Burnham's What is really just another one of his comedy specials. That's not to detract from it. I just don't know how to introduce it. Though I do have to say it has be my second favorite of his behind Inside. Out of all the live recorded specials from him, it probably is the funniest, with some of his best songs. I like how the humor is just silly. It isn't super edgy like Words Words Words is for pretty much every moment of stand up, and it isn't as emotionally ... read more
Tom Cardy is a comedy musician that honestly pretty obsessed with a couple years ago. I stopped caring about his work until recently when I decided to come back like a couple weeks ago. His older stuff still holds up pretty well. His songs are still genuinely funny and, admittedly, pretty catchy. So, I decided check out his latest project from last year, and I was left sorely disappointed.
Let me just say Tom is vastly improving his musicianship. The instrumentals here are some much more ... read more
Last year Kyle Gordon released his debut album of comedy songs, and it slammed by pretty much everyone. After seeing that his new album is actually doing pretty well. I have to admit that I have grown on the guy in the time between now and then. I still find him a little annoying, but I now realize that he is way funnier than I was willing to admit last time. Unfortunately, I still didn't like this record.
Kyle's style of parody has always been pretty simple. He really just takes all ... read more
I'm not afraid to say that Ok Go's debut album is one of my favorites of all time. Out of all the indie and alternative rock records I listened to when I was first getting into music, it remains one of the few that has still stuck with me. even though it can be pretty basic, even for the time it was released, and many don't even care about it seeing as it came out before Ok Go defined what Ok go is. The angstiness and energy that exudes from that album played a role in my life ... read more

Wasp in a Jar is the Vapor's second album after making a comeback a few years ago. A few of these tracks sound a bit samey, but for the most part this album is pretty consistent. It's a pretty straight forward hour of songs within the same punchy power pop and punk sound that they've pretty much always stuck to. I feel like together was a lot more tight with its wider variety in songs though. Still this a pretty simply solid crop of punchy tracks ... read more
Cheekface's new album is really the only album I was hyped for this year and yeah it paid off. I don't think this has the consistency to be as good as It's Sorted was, but this is still really good. It's only been like two days and I've already listened to this thing five times. As I said earlier, it is super varied. A lot more ska elements are present, with some songs just being pure ska. There's also a Nu metal song on here with a McKinley Dixon feature. Pretty ... read more
