Here we go. Onto the Beatles, and what is basically their quintessential opening album that would start 2 decades of absolute domination on the charts by the Beatles. What makes this the defining essence of the Beatles is the fact that they had already wrote and performed most of the songs around Britain at the time. It took a bit for the Beatles to even realize they should drop an album, at least until the song Please Please me went #1, but the album they hammered out in a day cemented their ... read more
God here we are. This album was a breakthrough for music. I don’t know if there’s any other way to put it. People listening to this on the radio in 1963 were entering new worlds when they heard this. His previous album was great, the songs that he did write were the highlights, but it couldn’t compare to what his next drop would be. Let’s get into it.
Blowing in The Wind, I don’t even wanna try and dissect the lyrics of this song. But this song was HUGE for Dylan. ... read more
I’m skipping to 1962 cuz man I just wanna get to Bob Dylan. I’ve listened to this album before many times and man it’s so good. Like I get it, it’s nothing special compared to his next projects, but I think this album gives us our first picture into who Bob Dylan was as a person.

The Everly Brothers are basically the Jonas Brothers of the late 50s and 60s. Like this album starts off with a song that screams Jonas Brothers, which in my opinion are 2 low testosterone brothers who can’t stop singing about women. ... read more
In my series of 70s music, I decided I’m going to loop back to the 60s. As excited I am to take a look at these albums, it’s more important I go back further in order to give me a more holistic approach to my reviews. But, before I do that, I can’t help myself. I gotta hit Derek and the Dominoes and their only album: Layla. I am a certified Clapton glazer, so take my review with a grain of salt.
Many people say, including my father, that Layla (album) was one of Eric’s ... read more
