Holy shit, never have I have vibed with an album this hard. This album was way ahead of its time. The production is on another level on top of Bjork's vocals. The only thing that I can say comes close to this is MAGDALENE but even then this is on another level.
Igor is Tyler's most refined album up to date. Not a single miss, every song is perfectly placed, and the story is just so real and authentic. From falling to love to falling out of love, all those emotions are real, and to back up this amazing theme with solid rap lines on WHAT'S GOOD, to the melodic and upbeat nature of EARFQUAKE, this album is truly amazing.
An adventurous album that explores the idea of finding freedom and light through the depth of darkness, to me its an amazing album and one that when re-listening to the album after 4 years, reminded me of the emotions that I felt back then. Just a kid, a pair of headphones, and a ball in the cold autumn breeze trying to make the most of his life.
There is no doubt about it, FKA Twigs vocal ability is off the charts. But what hits a lot more is the way she is able to experiment with her vocal talents and electronic sounds to convey the feelings of sadness, loneliness, and abandonment. A heavy listen and one that really hit home for me.
I love the execution of the Album and especially the feeling it brings behind it. This by far feels like Joji's most complete project so far, yet it somewhat feels like Joji had more in him than what he shows in the Album. Overall a great album, one of my favorites for sure, especially if I want to feel sad
