This is the second Black Country, New Road album where I didn’t mind the music, but also nothing grabbed me or made me feel something, other than “yeah not bad”. I forget about most of these tracks minutes after I’ve listened to them. I guess Black Country, New Road are not for me.

1. Happy Birthday
2. Besties
3. For the Cold Country
In my opinion Childish Gambino’s Magnum Opus. He really goes all out Because the Internet, making an album that is holistically representative of him, and the early 2010s. This is not an album I always have on rotation, but when this album hits, it hits hard.

1. IV. Sweatpants
2. III. Telegraph Ave. (“Oakland” by Lloyd)
3. 3005
This album is such a contradiction. Carti’s voice and tone makes me think it’s a rage album, but the mixing is soo poor and soft, nothing’s hitting. Carti is just throwing everything at the wall and nothings sticking. This shit ain’t even hard at the gym. Just a bloated disappointment
Top 3 Tracks
1. GOOD CREDIT
2. RATHER LIE
3. LIKE WEEZY
JPEG continues to deliver the goods. Personally the new additions to the original album are where most of the quality lies. Even through Disk 2 feels throwaways, there are some serious heaters in the tracklist.
Overall more Peggy can only be a good thing.
Maybe a case of right place right time, but haven’t been able to stop listening to this album. In a tight 9 tracks, the smiths provide a rich soundscape with passionate lyrics and infectious melodies, resulting in the quickest 45 minute listen album I’ve heard in recent years.

1. Ode To The Mets

Thanks Timmy for getting me into this album :)

1. Blowin’ in the Wind
2. Don’t think Twice, It’s Alright
3. A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall
The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess is an excellent debut and Inspiring album full of modern classics and heartfelt ballads. “My Kink is Karma” is the only song I think is generic and lacklustre, Everything else is a Bop.
Top 3 Tracks
1. Pink Pony Club
2. California
3. Femininomenon
Cole gives about 60% on this album comes through with some of his blandest material littered with some of his corniest bars put on wax.
And the Grammys want to applaud this?
Top 3 Tracks
1. Huntin’Wabbitz
2. Tre The Truth in Ibiza
3. Ready ‘24
GNX is Kendrick‘s victory lap and if anyone deserves it, it’s him. Kendrick is relishing his spot at the top and comes through with a collection of west coast bangers. In a tight 44 minutes, GNX is Kendrick’s most cohesive album since TPAB. All killer, no filler.
Top 3 Tracks
1. reincarnated
2. wacced out murals
3. tv off
While Doechii is certainly an entertaining MC with a unique voice, Alligator Bites Never Heal felt bloated and underdeveloped. There are great songs in the track list, however those highlights aren’t as often as I hoped.
Hopefully Doechii continues to hone her craft in the future.
Top 3 Tracks
1. NISSAN ALTIMA
2. SLIDE
3. DEATH ROLL
As I’ve gotten older and phased out of Coldplay, A Rush of Blood to the Head stands as the only album still in my rotation. This album features the bands best songs and their most consistent tracklist. There are some lowlights like A Whisper and Daylight, but the remaining tracks make up for these shortcomings. This might be Coldplay’s best effort.
Top 3 Tracks
1. The Scientist
2. Amsterdam
3. In My Place
Freddy Gibbs coming through with the funniest skits in years.
Also good album
Top 3 Tracks
1. On The Set
2. Rabbit Island

The Melodic Blue mixes hard club anthems with introspective personal ballads. Not every song is amazing, but Keem has a surprising amount of charisma, a unique voice and special ear for beats to keep you interested throughout. Hopefully he can follow this up with something stronger.

16/8/25 - Edit 80 --> 76: After DONT TAP THE GLASS, i actually realised I don't really have any strong feelings towards this album. Like him is top 5 Tyler, but everything else kinda comes and goes. I think i actually prefer Tyler when he's having fun
When Tyler said Mr Morale inspired him, he wasn’t joking. CHROMAKOPIA is Tyler’s most personal and exposing album, exploring his fame, legacy and personal trauma’s. While I really appreciate Tyler getting ... read more
House of Balloons is a certified classic. This is the blueprint that defines 2010’s R&B, and it happens to also be an infectious set of tracks.
Top 3 Tracks
1. Loft Music

Ants From Up There was highly anticipated, and perhaps it was that anticipation that crush my listening experience. I think this album is good, but not as amazing as I was hoping or expected. Some songs are really jarring some of the lyrics really take me out of the albums atmosphere. Still a good album, just a bit underwhelming.
Top 3 Tracks
1. Chaos Space Machine
2. The Place Where He Inserted the Blade
3. Good Will Hunting
It’s Neat, but most songs don’t add much over the original. Some songs are elevated, but not many. Overall more good than bad
Top 3 Tracks

Aside for a couple of Average tracks, Big Fish Theory is an album that slaps hard. The beats are unique, the hooks are infectious and the album flows perfectly. Honestly surprised about how great this is.

MELODY IS DEAD, RHYTHM IS KING
KID A is Radiohead's experimental masterpiece, after their magnum opus, OK Computer, and it's my personal favourite Radiohead album. I find this album to be simultaneously depressing and hopeful. I love everything this album has to offer, the dystopium soundscape, the raw emotion captured within the lyrics. Even the album cover is other wordly. When i listen to tracks like Idioteque and Motion Picture Soundtrack i feel like i'm floating. There ... read more
