I can't fathom what I just listened to, I loved it. I hate that the album was concieved from a place as dark as death and overwhelming grief but this was definitely a great send off for the late Groggs, rest in paradise.

This divine work of art is the epitome of self-expression and bare-knuckle resilience, Simz’s social and emotional transparency resonates effortlessly, drawing you into her dizzying universe, the universe of an introvert.

Every now and then the slickly woven rhymes are delivered with gruesome cadence and tone, they serve as constant reality checks. Simz tackles themes of womanhood, heartbreak, love, adolescence, equality and faith from the most unorthodox angles, allowing you to delve ... read more

Yep, I never thought a day like this would come to pass. Lorde's redundant posturing is jarring and not very resourceful, the emphasis on psychedelia and acoustic warmth is alluring but spineless at best, you sense as though Lorde is holding back just moments into listening, a tethered version of her former self, every track on show here lacks conviction to truly take your breath away, at some point you get annoyed by the recycling of song structures and sub-par vocals, the are a couple of ... read more

Hey ! I’m making a community list for the end of the world, and I would love for you to contribute.

Prompt:

“The surrounding buildings, in ruins. The last survivors, scrambling to find anything that remains. Fire flickers in the pitch-black, creating just a sliver of radiance. Miraculously, you find an old device that can play music. You can only play one album as the battery is nearly dead. Knowing that you have little time left, what is the one album that you choose to listen to as you watch the world crumble before your eyes?”

The album topic could discuss a disastrous time, its sound could fit the vibe of a post apocalyptic setting, or it could be one of your favorite albums that you would want to experience for the last time.

Please provide the artist, album, and an explanation as to why you chose that specific album.

Thank you for reading <3

Hey there! What is an album that you've given a 100 score, and why so?

Simple explanations are fine enough, but detailed reasoning is of course welcome. If you have multiple 100s, then just pick one of them as your answer. It's for a list by the way. Thanks in advance, and have a great day!

Hi, music is proof that gems in the form of art can be dug up from anything and everything a person experiences during a lifetime, I'm glad I'm here to witness it. I'm a poet who just so happens to enjoy reviewing music. (Thank you for 500 followers. I love this community)
