Charli takes us on a journey, exploring themes of love, isolation, and more. Almost every track here has rich and boisterous production that makes the whole thing a gratifying listen.
Detonate, enemy, c2.0 and visions are some lyrical highlights for me, while pink diamond, forever, claws and anthems are the catchiest tunes of the bunch.
Never has an album felt more like a movie to me, in the best way possible. The eerie, unsettling production on almost every song gives this record a distinctive sound. Quadeca's entrancing lyrics and storytelling keep you engaged throughout the entire listen. This is an incredible body of work.
This is a killer tracklist. Even tracks I didn't enjoy as much as others (e.g. love is embarrassing) are still strong. I love the more ambitious lyricism and vocals compared to sour. I didn't love 'bad idea right' as a single, but it does play a part in the narrative of the record, and I can enjoy it more in the context of the album.
I like the interludes. I know some people see them as bloat, but I think they add to the narrative of the album while being sonically interesting. The production is experimental and satisfying. I don't think this entire record had a single bad instrumental. The lyrics, while not perfect, are generally better than his pervious work, and far more appealing than most others in the YouTube scene.
I like the minimal production. The storytelling is nice and pinkpantheress' vocals are perfect. I just wish the runtime of the songs allowed for the ideas to be fleshed out a bit more.
