When I think of rubber duck debugging I always think of this duck
I've heard bits and pieces from her old solo stuff but holy moly this is such a step up. Sounds super good--was not expecting it either if it weren't for the random "Album Tomorrow" post on glass beach patreon lmao
Thank you j :3
ALSO I LOVE HEADPHONES
Listened after Wetdream, their style is definitely here and much more energetic I think. Bit more messy but really fun. I also wasn’t expecting Spanish… mind if a white boy speak a lil español?
I remember finding this album in like February 2025 because spotify randomly played revisited… fast forward to now and Willy is my 3rd most listened artist of the year lmao
This album’s so messy and so great, a hard listen for sure. Themes are very dark, but goodness gracious it’s so catchy and what the two were able to come up with insane.
88 -> 93
Inexperienced in this field but I can say with certainty that this bangs. He’s not afraid to be silly and it shows, Peggy’s vocals over the insane tracks make for a very cohesive headbanger sesh
"I'm more than adequate. Leave Kanye out of this." Yes let's leave Kanye out of a post-rock album please!
For some reason I left this album to after listening to AFUT and Forever Howlong and I thoroughly enjoyed it much more than I thought I would. I guess you could say I'm a little bit late to the party.
It's definitely the most post of the three imo and is such an insane debut to pull off. Amazing writing and instrumentation definitely pave the new road from ... read more
Crap I just got knocked by some zombies
The humble reviver:
Anyway waiting for this was fun, and I was extremely eager to hear what they were cooking when Ginkgo (title track) dropped, such a nice comeback song. The rest of the album was rather underwhelming compared to the single, but it's definitely still decent for their first full LP! I personally find it real funny how Lifestyle Trainers and Chapel of Salt both go from a soft verse to a heavy loud chorus. I'm definitely curious ... read more
I was surprised to see this album wasn't even on AOTY... hopefully someone finds it now. It's a fun piece, loud and rough around the edges, but plain fun indie rock with some potential.
My sister knowing The Bachelor's Wife was a surprise lmao... also Fad is honestly really catchy, honestly was the one song that stuck in my head after listening to this LP.
"Plastic death, plastic death suck the marrow 'til there's nothing left"
I've been trying to suck the marrow out of this album 'til there's nothing left because I'm just so obsessed with it... and I still enjoy it even after so many streams. Before I'd even checked out the rest of the album I'd just heard Coelacanth and was instantly mesmerized by it and its quick turnarounds. This album makes me feel like I'm rushing forward at times ... read more
I’d yet to leave a review on this but realize I’d already rated it—and I have it rated exactly what I thought originally. Just shows how consistent and solid their sound is—or was… too bad they disbanded and have now turned into the sun. I love the instrumental pieces, they all mix real well with the vocals—lead guitar stood out the most to me (which I guess is the point). At some point I might translate the lyrics, but even the song titles speak measures.
friends told me to listen to this. oh ok.
ts is the ethanol type gas. oh ok.
AOTY Random Album button actually really cooked with this one. This is an insanely underrated gem that reminds me a lot of BCNR’s Ants From Up There. The quality through the album stays really consistent, I didn’t really get bored of it. The instrumentals are fantastic featuring a solid mix of keys, acoustic and electric guitar, quality drums, what almost sounded like a banjo, a sax (I think) in Worm Song, all with the singer’s deep voice (which could be a turn-off for some, ... read more
big fan of the wii so i respect this lmao
probably goes harder if you’ve played any WWE game
This was such an interesting find that it ended up being my first contribution on this site lmao
It’s honestly fun and well made, very groovy and experiments at parts. Chill vocals and with solid instrumentation to back it up, I honestly can’t compare it to anything.
Over time this piece has kind of lost meaning for me, after having listened to Ginkgo it definitely shows some change in style from deathmetal, more maturity and whatnot.
music for forest frolicking except i need to read the lyrics
It’s messy, but is very fun and really grows on you after listening for a while. They’re really musically talented highlighted by the kinda interlude tracks that I really like. Vocals took me a sec to appreciate but I thoroughly enjoy a lot off this album now :)
