The New Sound by Geordie Greep honestly feels like a much more grimy, raw, and modern retelling of an egotistical struggle for masculinity and an unregulated pursuit of sexual desires that thematically reminds me of The Great Gatsby. We see this character start with a falsely masculine image of himself, and he feeds into his delusion as the album goes on, going as far as paying prostitutes to pretend to be interested with him in bars. Then, he actually falls in love with a prostitute and wishes ... read more

The hooking vulnerability of Igor's love story and near-perfect, ear-candy-riddled production make for what I believe to be Tyler's best album to date. This album got me back into music as a teen.
The soundscape of I Didn't Mean to Haunt You is hauntingly atmospheric in the best way possible.
Depression Cherry isn't anything particularly striking, but it is incomprehensibly beautiful. Beach House does dream-pop exceptionally well; almost perfectly, on every single track. Victoria Legrand has a gift of a voice, and every time she harmonizes with herself, or the instrumental, I get lost in it. I could close my eyes or stare at the night sky and drift away to Depression Cherry every single time.
This is the only album that ever made me cry. The atmospheric soundscape and Porter Robinson's unique vocal effects working in unison do something to my brain that I can't quite describe, but I know it feels amazing. Nurture feels like a deeply personal, emotional documentary about Porter's journey to appreciate life. I feel that Unfold would've been the perfect closing song, and Trying to Feel Alive could've been taken off the tracklist.
Edit: Trying to Feel Alive is ... read more
Hypochondriac has one of the most unique soundscapes I've ever heard. Brakence's vocals are amazing, and his production is even better. Wyatt Otis's math-rock-like guitar riffs work perfectly with the otherworldly instrumentals brakence pairs them with. The pop-punk elements in songs such as Intellectual Greed and Introvert hit hard every time. Where this album truly shines, though, is in the structure of both the songs and the album as a whole. That is to say, I never get bored ... read more
This is super fun, but some songs are amazing, and others I could forget
