Death Grips - Bottomless Pit
71

This was the first death grips album I managed to finish and it was pretty good. The production is want really carries this album as MC Prophet is really not that well of a rapper. Scribbling off a bunch of onomatopoeia on some of these songs is not good lyrically or song writing wise.

Cameron Winter - Heavy Metal
90

Cameron Winter is easily becoming one of my favorite musicians. Really good song writing on this project, and there is so much soul poured into these songs.

Nujabes - Metaphorical Music
89

Very good jazz rap album, I had a problem with how repetitive some of the tracks got but overall had really good instrumentals and rapping performances

EsDeeKid - Rebel
61

Really short mixtape, but surprisingly had some bangers on this. Not huge on trap but there is def some songs I’ll go back to

Turnstile - NEVER ENOUGH
69

Unfortunately turnstile takes a step back but still a very solid album

Turnstile - GLOW ON
86

One of the better punk albums I’ve heard!

Geese - 3D Country
89

Geese is such an awesome band that really has a unique sound, but it’s certainly really awesome. I think some tracks get a tiny bit repetitive and there was one miss being Undoer but really good album from Cameron’s band

Panchiko - Failed at Math(s)
62

Pretty solid, very short listen and some boring tracks that are very generic. Solid track list though

Devon Hendryx - JOECHILLWORLD [Reissue]
85

Super edgy and nerdy lyrics but very good experimental cloud rap

Navy Blue - The Sword & The Soaring
62

Not a super huge abstract hip hop fan, definitely one of the better albums I’ve heard under this genre

Olivia Dean - The Art of Loving
78

What a gorgeous album

ROSALÍA - LUX
70

A little overrated, First time I’ve really dug deep into Spanish music and really enjoyed it

OutKast - Stankonia
65

Other than some very good obvious bangers, this album lacks consistent production and has many moments of poor rapping with weird sound effects. WHY IS THERE SO MANY INTERLUDES???

Danny Brown - Stardust
88

Bro this was so cool. Danny really had some great rapping and insane production but on multiple it felt like other artists songs he was featuring on. This felt like this album was just Danny trying to get together a bunch of artists he liked and letting them use his platform for whatever reason.

Jane Remover - Revengeseekerz
65

I really don’t get the hype

Fiona Apple - When the Pawn...
100

EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS ALBUM IS AMAZING. Fiona’s vocals are some of the best I’ve ever heard the blend of her voice and the instrumentals is so beautiful and matches so well together. The lyrics are also super impactful and well written. Such a good album and instantly becomes one of my favorite.

Milo & Kenny Segal - So the Flies Don't Come
50

This album was weird…

ian - 2005

His best project to date… I guess?

JPEGMAFIA - Veteran

Wow. To say this grew on me would be an understatement. I’m not sure I’ve heard a better experimental hip hop album. The explicit language actually wasn’t a huge problem for me even though it usually is. Really enjoyed the production on this. I still can’t tell if I enjoy the second track but I think I do it’s just so weird but so good. This one takes some time to click but if finally did.

Pink Floyd - Animals
100

Truly a masterpiece. Pink Floyd’s brilliance is showncase in this album through the threee songs. Loved the concept and even though it was a 40+ minute long listen it did not feel like it. I didn’t they would be able to top DSOTM as that was their first album I heard but they did.
