Firstly, I’m never sure how to feel about posthumous albums. It depends on so many factors. Of course it’s great that fans of the artist get more content, but in my mind Im always worried it is the record label spinning together some B-side material to use the artists name for a cash grab. Regardless, Mac died 7 years ago, and we should be happy to hear more of his work.

I was never expecting this album to contain a wealth of high-quality Mac Miller performances, under the ... read more

MUSTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARD.

(this doesn't feel like a complete Kendrick album? it feels ever so slightly lacking in some way. but it is still brilliant. if you put it up next to his other albums it feels almost like untitled does, a sort of collection of unused tracks/ideas)

This is a very personal, and vulnerable record from Ghetts. A lot of this record, features included, are talking about issues they really care about and it's executed so that it feels open, like a safe space for people to share their problems. If you look too deep into this you could probably find it preachy, but taking it on face value, there is a really consistent level of quality to this project. Some tracks are thought-provoking and cultural impactful without sacrificing their ability ... read more

To me this felt like Natty is back. Man Like I was such a wholesome and deep album, and nothing in the 16 years since that has really interested me too much, until now. This felt like a step back in the direction of what made me love his music in the first place. It's still his reggaeton style but slightly more bedroom-y than more of his recent work. The track Fiyahman felt original and Mountains has that other-worldly vibe to it that I think the whole "Divine Trinity" vibe is ... read more

I don't think does enough for to discern itself from what it's competition would be. Unfortunately I find it a little bit forgettable. The outro to this album (last two tracks) are the best part for me, and they are really good. But there was too much of this album that just didn't stand out very much to me.

About

I started this in 2022 and haven't backdated any albums so don't judge the recency of this all!
