Madonna's Magnus Opus as it is stated. Even though i was not a fan of trip hop and trance, i found this album very alluring and interesting. I kept going without getting bored and for me this is a sign of an excellent album. To be more specific ROL starts with ''Drown World'' a very well crafted beginning into the spiritual world. Ok Lana fans im going to disagree with all of you on this album. I Dont like Born to Die and Video games, i find them really boring, especially the latter. Now keep in mind that its my first time listenning seriously to Lana so im not familiar with her type of music. Coming back to this album after half of year, i realized that the album is indeed underrated. This project shines when you come to it without any kind of expectation but simply to enjoy the ride. My only skip is ''I'm so stupid'' which i still cant find myself liking it. Overall, it is a very coherent project that needs time and open-mindedness in order to ''see'' madonna's vision.
Confessions is Madonna's last successful reinvention (commercially). After the failure of American Life Madonna takes the decision to invite us on a 1 hour long ecstasy. The album brings back disco in a new fashion, where the 48 years old Maddie shows that she still has it. ''Hung Up'' is one of her best tracks ever, a testament to her longetivity while ''Get Together'' and ''Sorry'' keep the quality of the first track. Madonna on her debut album is on fire, there arent many things to say about this album other than its the epitome of 80s Pop. Lucky Star, which is trending on tik tok, is a great example of the reasons why madonna was so popular back then. It is an energetic,happy and full of life song as was Madonna in her 20s. Ok, im rewritting this because i changed my mind about the album. So, after the controversial Erotica, Madonna embarks to a trip into the unconscious as she says in the title's track.To be more specific, ''Survival'' is a classic 90s R&B song that reminds me of Brandy which is not bad at all.''Secret'' is the first single of the album and a great song,justifying the choice of the song as a lead single alongside ''Take a Bow''.''I'd Rather Be Your Lover'' is probably my least favourite song ... read more
