The music was alright, I'm not the biggest fan of western music (I really liked drum run though). I liked the story though, it was pretty engaging.
oh yeah this was a fun one, very upbeat and garagy and noisy. Now I'm gonna go listen to the other king gizzard albums in order
Now THIS is peak. Great musicianship and super cool songwriting. Probably the best mars volta album I've heard so far.
Some really strong moments here like Cygnus... Vismund Cygnus, which is an amazing track. They've got a lot of style and they are definitely great at their instruments (especially the drummer, god damn), but sometimes the songs get kinda boring. I wasn't a very big fan of The Widow and L'Via L'Viaquez. But then the closer, Cassandra Gemeni comes and saves the album. That part of Cassandra Gemeni when the saxophone comes in is so god damn good. Overall a great record but not ... read more
worst album ever, genuinely. I hate racism, and I hate country so there isn't a lot of good things abt this
This is my single favorite album of all time. Literally all songs are perfect. The way Aaron combined the schizophrenic drums of breakcore with classical music out of all genres is super cool. The interludes are great too and I never get tired of listening to this masterpiece. I don't even know where to begin with my favorite tracks, all of them are perfect. But if I absolutely had to pick a favorite it would probably be Szerencsétlen. It's so high-energy and complex yet super ... read more
Very very solid record. Ween is quickly becoming a favorite of mine and this album is just amazing. The song Ocean Man was featured in the SpongeBob movie by the way in case you didn't know that. The best song is easily The Blarney Stone, it sounds so drunk and it's so fun to listen to and sing along to and I love the crowd noises in the background. It's probably my favorite Ween song overall. Other favorites of mine are Ocean Man, Waving My Dick In The Wind, It's Gonna Be ... read more
Super fun and cool. I love the drums and the guitar tones are absolutely insane. If you like The Dillinger Escape Plan but wish they were wilder then you should check this album out, along with this band's first album. Not sure why they chose this cover though, it looks nothing like the album sounds (if that makes sense).
The singer is a disgusting fuck though, don't support him in any way even though the music is great
