Common - Be
100

Bruh easily a top ten hip-hop album and some how also easily stands at the top of Common’s stupid good discography. Also probably contains one of the best intros in hip-hop, that being Be, and one of my favorites songs from Common, Faithful.
Common is just such a thoughtful rapper and implements this all throughout this album with lots of great themes and messages; pair that with prime Kanye production and you get a10/10 classic album.

Baby Keem - Ca$ino
72

Honestly best from Keem so far in my opinion.
Really thought he drew out a more distinct style and I really enjoyed tracks like No Blame and I am not a lyricist and the bangers like Casino that came with it.

Lupe Fiasco - Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor
100

I think this is one of my hotter takes but this is a top 15 hip-hop album for me and solidifies Lupe as one of the best lyricist in hip-hop
There is not a bad rapping performance on this whole album
A matter a fact every single one is peak
He also showcases some flawless storytelling
In particular on Kick Push and Hurt Me Soul, which are some of my favorite songs in hip-hop

Clipse - Let God Sort Em Out
90

This would be a ten but Pharrell’s Disney movie singing holds it back for me

Nas - Illmatic
100

This held my number one hip-hop album spot for a while and for good reason
It is perfect and the main reason I got into old school hip-hop
It now stands in second for me right behind Liquid Swords

GZA - Liquid Swords
100

The GREATEST Hip-Hop album of all time
Even better the Illmatic

JID - The Forever Story
100

This is a top 15 hip-hop album for me
That means in my opinion it holds up against albums like Be, Black on Both Sides, Things Fall Apart, and so on. Making it the best hip hop album from a up and coming rap artist.

Kid Cudi - Man On The Moon: The End Of Day
80

The production on this album is an absolute treat

Joey Bada$$ - Lonely At The Top
78

The highs are high but on average the album doesn’t quite crack an 80

JID - God Does Like Ugly
100

I think this album is amazing and well worth the wait. And not saying it’s better but I 100% believe it’s on par with the Forever Story

Freddie Gibbs - Alfredo 2
95

Honestly might be better than Alfredo 1 for me but I still need to give the album time to digest
Ok digested
It’s got better replay value but Alfredo one is more innovative, more unique, and has more variation
I’d give it a tie since I listen to Alfredo 2 more
