I would say this is their weakest album by far, which says a lot, because it's still wonderful! Skeletá doesn't feel like their earlier work, and I love that about Ghost—they make every album feel different; they make it fit the personalities of the papas in such a unique and exciting way that it's impossible to not notice it. Skeletá is definitely more pop than any of the other albums; it feels lighter, more exciting, and innocent, and I feel like Tobias has ... read more
Oh boy, here we go... I have several issues with Taylor Swift and the persona she presents to the world. First of all, I find it disgusting how she portrays herself and her partner as "just your English and PE teachers", when 1. It's unfortunate; it seems they took the "popular TikTok sound" direction with many of the tracks in this album, rather than focusing on what made Måneskin interesting to listen to. While Zitti e buoni rightfully won Eurovision, RUSH! feels like it was written by an entirely different person, lacking the flair and consistency of their previous work, Teatro d'ira - Vol 1.
Like all her other albums, MARINA manages to capture the life of a woman, with all its ups and downs, in a manner that leaves you feeling more deeply. It's amazing to still see musicians these days sing about the issues at large and not be laser-focused on glamorizing their private lives—I think MARINA has always managed to do that quite well; she doesn't hide behind her finger or "forget" about feminism whenever it's "convenient" for her. She's a ... read more
