Ghost - Skeletá
80

I would say this is their weakest album by far, which says a lot, because it's still wonderful! Skeletá doesn't feel like their earlier work, and I love that about Ghost—they make every album feel different; they make it fit the personalities of the papas in such a unique and exciting way that it's impossible to not notice it. Skeletá is definitely more pop than any of the other albums; it feels lighter, more exciting, and innocent, and I feel like Tobias has ... read more

Taylor Swift - The Life of a Showgirl
5

Oh boy, here we go... I have several issues with Taylor Swift and the persona she presents to the world. First of all, I find it disgusting how she portrays herself and her partner as "just your English and PE teachers", when 1. Swift doesn't have a higher education, so she is literally cosplaying as a person with a degree (nothing wrong with not having a higher education, but it is wrong to portray yourself as an educated person when you are not), and 2. We live in the sad ... read more

Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not
100

Nothing to add; it's simply a good album, maybe even their best one! For a band's debut, it's absolutely insane how well it has done; I bet the boys are very proud of it, and if they're not, then they should be! I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor and Mardy Bum cement themselves as two of the best Arctic Monkeys songs by far!

MÃ¥neskin - RUSH!
55

Not bad, but not the best, either. It's unfortunate; it seems they took the "popular TikTok sound" direction with many of the tracks in this album, rather than focusing on what made Måneskin interesting to listen to. While Zitti e buoni rightfully won Eurovision, RUSH! feels like it was written by an entirely different person, lacking the flair and consistency of their previous work, Teatro d'ira - Vol 1.

MARINA - PRINCESS OF POWER
80

Like all her other albums, MARINA manages to capture the life of a woman, with all its ups and downs, in a manner that leaves you feeling more deeply. It's amazing to still see musicians these days sing about the issues at large and not be laser-focused on glamorizing their private lives—I think MARINA has always managed to do that quite well; she doesn't hide behind her finger or "forget" about feminism whenever it's "convenient" for her. She's a ... read more

Radiohead - Pablo Honey

Objectively not as good as their later work, BUT it's still decent! This album feels like I'm seeing inside the head of a man in his early twenties, navigating the feelings of not being good enough for the woman he likes, and the desperation he feels for her, even though he is aware he doesn't deserve her.

My Chemical Romance - The Black Parade
90

This album feels like a deranged piece of theatre that doesn't take itself too seriously. This is why I love MCR!

Type O Negative - Life Is Killing Me

Me too, Peter, me too.

HIM - Razorblade Romance

So dramatic, I adore it! Gone With The Sin is my favourite :)

Ghost - Meliora
100

Unlike all the other Ghost albums, Meliora gives off such a hauntingly beautiful vibe, from the lyrics to the vocals and, of course, the instrumental. They did an amazing job with it. I love seeing music handle subjects such as religion, politics, etc., so it comes as no surprise why I love Meliora so much. We have He Is—a hymn towards Lucifer; Mummy Dust—a story about money and its origins; From the Pinnacle To The Pit—a representation of the story of Lucifer's ... read more

Billie Eilish - HIT ME HARD AND SOFT
95

Her best work by far, this album had me in a chokehold for the entire summer of 2024

Radiohead - OK Computer
100

It made my depression worse; I can't listen to it without absolutely hating myself. Good work!!!

Arctic Monkeys - Humbug
90

These guys were my introduction to rock. I love them so much! This album is beautiful; I love how cheeky Alex Turner is with his lyrics and the attention it requires (on the listener's part) to be able to understand the message of each song. My Propeller as an album starter was an AMAZING choice, and I absolutely adore how much of a meme it is amongst the fans. Dangerous Animals, dare I say, is the only miss. Overall, it's an amazing album, and it's definetly in AM's Top 3 ... read more
