Bafflingly middle-of-the-road. Diverse enough to not be boring at all, not diverse enough to be interesting. Not status quo enough to suck, not groundbreaking enough to be great. It's good but not great.
Pick Your King is better but this is a fairly good sophomore EP for Poison Idea
The intense moments are incredible and the relaxed moments offer balance. A really solid record.
A very exhausting listen with very little variation between songs. It's certainly a boundary-pushing record though. Nothing really sounded like this back then, and it does scratch an itch, but 24 minutes is too long for a record like this.
My favorite prog album so far. Everything here is so brilliantly and artistically done.
Had the privilege of hearing most of this album live a couple days ago, and this band needs to be way more talked about
A creative and refreshing album front to back, although I feel like it’s a tad overrated on this platform
I’m pretty surprised by just how much I liked this one. A refreshing listen
A solid, straightforward blackened thrash album. Good but not great
An album whose ambition cannot be matched by its quality. There are good moments here, but they’re thrown together in such a haphazard way that it ruins it.
There are some pretty great songs on here, particularly DREAM SEQUENCE, but what's left over is a lot of filler.
A bread and butter atmospheric black metal record. What it lacks in novelty it makes up for in riffage and emotion.
My best friend's favorite artist is IC3PEAK and she got me to listen to this album in the car. I actually liked it quite a bit. The intermingling of genres and influences here made for a pleasant listen. Nothing extravagant, but I liked it.
