If anything, this album actually makes me appreciate U even more in hindsight. I think the best parts of this thing are when April is tapping into her more electronic and pop sensibilities, which she fully focuses in on that album. But this project is a fun, super creative piece which definitely shows her taking a big step in her discography. I do think there are some stumbles here, and even some cringe songs if im gonna be honest, but it's definitely worth a listen.
This album is tricky for me. On one end I totally appreciate the super beautiful sounds the album embodies, and it does only further showcase how fucking talented Jane is, that she can tap into this kind of sound in such an in-depth way. there are 3 redeemable songs on this project. the rest is genuinely dogshit and the most shameless cash grab of a dead artist ive ever seen.
One of the most fun albums I've ever heard! Never a dull moment, and I absolutely how much passion you can tell is put into the music and converting how much Nina loves making it.
