I'm sorry RAYE, but you're not Rosalia. Similarly to "Lux" from last year, "This Music May Contain Hope" features a 4-act structure, the London Symphony Orchestra, several meta moments, numerous genre fusions, and a grand, cinematic feel. The difference is that "Lux" was ground-breaking, while RAYE's latest becomes increasingly insufferable the longer it goes on.

It's insane just how consistent this album is over the course of its 2+ hour, 32-track runtime, both in quality and atmosphere. Some of the best lo-fi music ever produced.
How did this take 8 years to release, and still comes out feeling rushed and unfinished? Easily the best thing about this entire album is the cover art.
The "Now" in the title refers to the first second of the album.
