This guy can create some of the catchiest stuff and can hold a vibe really well. But the majority of songs on here sound like regurgitated versions of other things, a sound that wants to be more genuine than it is. Some of the least offensive music possible with an equal mix of cool to corny production choices. It’s fine but this is some proper “I’m alternative” music
The highlights are really really high but cutting down on some of the pop/trap filler would improve this so much.
I respect the artistic switch up but it just comes off as a bit generic in the direction it went. I enjoyed “Open Arms” but knowing Simz’s potential, I’m unsatisfied
This guy deserves way more recognition, it’s like my favourite parts of Radiohead mixed with some flowy muffled jazz, but still an original sound I haven’t heard anywhere before!
