My second ever album review of AOTY User music by @DistortedVortex and it was the only other rated album and it also came out a few days after my birthday.
The one big problem with this record is that a lot of the beats feel like it should build up to better beat but it never happens, the main problem is there is a lack of punch to every song especially when you consider the genre. My favourite song was data_expunged due to its energetic vibe and it had a multitude of parts that kept it fresh ... read more

EDIT: Still dumb fun but some tracks charm wear off still in awe
WTF, Genuinely WTF. This group, SFD had 3 out of 5 of my worst albums ever ratings but now this album comes along and it is in my top 10 of the year, no joke, how did this happen. I'll tell you how, read the album cover, it says "P.S Lock In" and they did. Its kind of conflicting giving CFD an 8 when the cover has you on it but something about this just felt different.
The instrumentals manage to be more ... read more
This album is like getting high and playing video games at the same time. I think this had a great start but tapered off near the end but I still find a lot of enjoyment in the tracklist overall especially on songs like Monkey Ball. The album cover and track list names are kind of like the album itself in that they are wild mixes of both ironic and unironic experimentation.
This song isn't an intro, it's a religion.: 80

A quite decent ambient project that (at least for me) has one weak song that kills the vibe. I think songs like Yes! Lovely! and Shame! are exactly the sort of sound Arthurium was trying to achieve with this concept of Pop mixed with Ambient.

A good collection of mostly instrumental tracks that are put into a collection album and named after this fact with a weird cover that has nothing to do with the vibe of the album, if Against The Logic and Aphex Twin can do it, so can Ghost Minus.
This is GhostMinus's third compilation album following her highest rated release XContributions! and the most popular (streaming wise) release おばけ, safisced to say that expectations were high. We were either expecting a high quality compilation ... read more
I think this had potential, especially when you look at the ladder end of the track list, the main issue is a lot of the tracks are just a bit underdeveloped, there is a reason why most ambient tracks go to upwards of 5 to 10 minutes and it is because to get all your ideas out into one song requires careful placement and timing, not saying this project doesn't have any just saying this project is lacking a bit of it.

Ok, I enjoyed this way more than I should, I mean the mixing is objectively terrible and there is even a remix of Takyon, a death grips songs, a group known for their crazy alternative style and yet I couldn't look away.
@SoundBoomer recommended me this and I usually like whatever they send me like Halley Labs Associate's 2YR, 40:28.649 and RQ's ♞ (Knight) but this is different to anything, stylistically, that I was sent. Unlike the ladder projects which are more intense ... read more
I think this could have easily been the best Kron The Idiot record, by far, the other scores I had given them were also in the 60's so a project with my favourite Kron songs would be great, but something didn't click, it was great and then poff.
Firstly, never before have I needed to say that they should have removed half of the track list but unfortunately this album has been infected by the dreaded "too many interludes-itis". Every Track labeled 'voice[number]flac" is just ... read more
Im feeling a (59 > 64 > 78 > 75) on this album, I remember I was conflicted
When I first heard this album I was pretty lukewarm on this album, I thought that this album had high moments and low moments but then something just clicked and I had to relisten, I changed a few scores after relisten finding myself enjoying it more and more so while I was writing the review I put it on in the background, this 3rd relisten changed my entire perspective on the album. Especially one of the songs ... read more
I am currently on an AOTY user binge and as result I have had. to listen to some of the loudest and lowest budget projects ever created, some good, some bad but this is completely different. This is a smooth piano album that, in the grander scheme of the whole album experience, seems well crafted and executed.
As said by the artist, this album is about their personal experience around their first breakup and coming to terms with it. This context gives the whole project more of a sole as tracks ... read more
I think this project is overall good but isn't very consistent, meaning I don't like the first track but I love the second and third track enough so that they carry the ratings. The first song was good but only at the end, the start bit is just segments of the beat cut in half and distributed throughout the song, if it was just the last part the song would be great. My favourite track is the second cause it hits you immediately with its intensity and doesn't let go till the end, unlike the ... read more

EDIT: The production can drag and features are boring, it won't go below a 50 but a 70 feels to high
A self recommended album made by @TKS, thanks for sharing your project and good job on the album as a whole. Good job on both Big TKS and Brilxonic for the great production.
Since they have been working on it for 3 years, of course the production is top notch, songs like the closer Another Life and Billions have great production. Billions especially reminds me more of Kill Bill the ... read more

From the first few seconds I thought I would hate this song, the vocals were weird and the beat was not existent. But as the song grew and moulded into a new one, so did my feelings on it.
The vibe is all over the place. Some parts are chill with some light strings and soft vocals then 10 seconds later you get a guitar solo with some yelling vocals. The song starts with a mixture of the two vibes you'll get with loud vocals and quiet beats. The lyrics are mid but the way they are performed ... read more
I have no joke been writing this review for a week now because I have no idea how to approach this album and describe the experience I went through. This is a very interesting album, the consistency of this album is all over the place, one minute you could be listening to a well mixed song that has your head bopping then suddenly the next song will be ear bleeding loud and weirdly mixed music. All packaged in one certified AOTY user album, @Asumisha to be exact, they recommended this to me and ... read more
This was quite enjoyable song that is kinda generic when it comes to beats especially in the drill scene, the vocals performances weren't perfect but were decent enough to stand out. Every part of this song is good except a part in the middle where the beat slows down and the singing is turned way down, it becomes less like a Trap song and more of Ambient with vocals song and it's weird. the production can feel a bit muddled at times, with some effects in the song being a bit off putting at ... read more
I was into it, I was really vibin with the first song but then "I don't see you as a dad, I see you as walking cum". This EP is less of a collection of music and more off two tracks of someone being personal and a test beat.

This was so close to being a great album what the ..-. ..- -.-. -.- This album starts off extremely well with songs like VIDA (Track 5) and (Track 2) which have great mixes and samples that use a more dark and grainy aesthetic. The songs are all remixes of previous songs like (Track 11) being a remix of Hell on Earth by Westside Gunn, it is kind of fun trying to find the samples and I took like an hour, I am that insane.
However the track list immediately falls of at (Track 6) where the vocal ... read more
