turns out my goat named this after the criminally underrated Nicholas Roeg film of the same name. don't know what to do with that info now. this album is great, the movie is great too. listen to and watch both respectively, maybe not at the same time, like give both individual pieces of work their own room to breath.
need to listen to Caligula after this to cleanse me of my sins
sick. paul hares is a beast on production, and Xen is as consistent as always. All of these tunes sounds they could be on State of the Art, and also be some of the best tracks within that already quality tracklist.
there's like a four track stretch from Spermwhale Trip Over to the end that may be one of the best four track runs of the eighties, but everything up to that point is kinda whatever. This is an interesting record from front to back, as is all of A.R. Kane's output, but man it is rough around the edges, especially in the first half.
production bogs this down so hard. what would be a fun dancey 80s synth-pop record becomes a convoluted pancake of sounds that don't make me feel anything. First three tracks are nice, Look of Love pt.1 sounds a bit like Holiday by Madonna which I like, other than that this just does not hit the way it should.
Kinda in one ear out the other. Like nothing that bad, but this isn't anything more than another Lucki album. I dig the 2nd Veeze track a lot. I dunno. I am drugs man. Like the Drake meme, but instead of ice man it's... ugh nvm.
Every Paramore album I've listened to is due to me being enamoured with the big hits from the album and feeling like a poser for only knowing the hits. Every Paramore album I've listened to makes me realize that I should probably just stick to the hits.
This is by no means a bad album, for one it sounds gorgeous and Hayley's vocals are the best they've ever been. The production is varied and the band pulls off the different styles they tackle with ease, but these songs, ... read more
patiently waiting for the general consensus on Joan of Arc on this website to shift.
honk shoo in the sense that I've fallen asleep to this album every time I've tried to listen to it. No exaggeration, calming not in a comforting sense but in the way that a lullaby is calming to a baby.
honestly I like this a bit more finding it out it's a Britney cover lol fuck yeah
put me on to Ginger Snaps which is like the best case scenario. WLFGRL is also really good, but man, you gotta watch Ginger Snaps it's so fucking awesome.
Best song on Revengeseekerz, and it's a CD only bonus track. Well played Jane.
I can see why she left this off. Unlike the other songs on that album, this one actually doesn't irritate me. The production is maximalist here just like the rest of the tunes off of Revengeseekerz, but it hits the threshold of doing enough but not doing too much for me personally.
