need to listen to Caligula after this to cleanse me of my sins
sick. paul hares is a beast on production, and Xen is as consistent as always. All of these tunes sounds they could be on State of the Art, and also be some of the best tracks within that already quality tracklist.
there's like a four track stretch from Spermwhale Trip Over to the end that may be one of the best four track runs of the eighties, but everything up to that point is kinda whatever. This is an interesting record from front to back, as is all of A.R. Kane's output, but man it is rough around the edges, especially in the first half.
production bogs this down so hard. what would be a fun dancey 80s synth-pop record becomes a convoluted pancake of sounds that don't make me feel anything. First three tracks are nice, Look of Love pt.1 sounds a bit like Holiday by Madonna which I like, other than that this just does not hit the way it should.
Kinda in one ear out the other. Like nothing that bad, but this isn't anything more than another Lucki album. I dig the 2nd Veeze track a lot. I dunno. I am drugs man. Like the Drake meme, but instead of ice man it's... ugh nvm.
