Drake - HABIBTI
20

Shit by ass

Drake - ICEMAN
42

obsidian man was better

Dax - 2pac Reincarnation Vol 2: By Dax
NR

Marc showed me this and I haven’t laughed as hard in months

Snail Mail - Ricochet
72

Very relistenable, slightly let down by its lack of memorable moments or distinguishing characteristics.

Tiffany Day - HALO
87

Not overly complex, but constant fun and hype.

I find the tunes going round and round in my head since listening to this.

MIKE - POMPEII // UTILITY
55

It sort of just drifted by, and struggled to keep my attention. Definitely lacking compared to Mike and Earls usual quality.

underscores - U
73

Really enjoyed this but I think it’s my least favourite of her major releases

高中正義 [Masayoshi Takanaka] - BRASILIAN SKIES
90

So full of life and passion that I can’t imagine someone not enjoying this.

Even hailing from a country with incredible musical talent, Takanaka shows that within an extremely competitive market you can still excel and stand out.

He is truly a genius of our time.

Joni Mitchell - Blue
100

An album I was very fortunate to grow up with because my mum loves it so much.

I liked it as a kid, but as an adult it hits in an entirely different and deeper way. Absolutely beautiful and carried by one of the most incredible vocalists to ever do it.

King Crimson - In the Wake of Poseidon
73

Weak when compared to their debut.
Stand it on its own merits however and it’s pretty damn good!!
Cadence and Cascade is a beautiful song and really highlights what I love most about KC as a concept, especially due to all of the constant member swapping; their versatility.

Mei Semones - Koneko
NR

Don’t think I could ever get tired of Mei’s style
Liana Flores fits so well here, it’s a collab that I’d never thought of but it makes so much sense.
Very excited for the EP!!

Bruno Mars - The Romantic
45

Ts is a snoozefest gang

Gorillaz - The Mountain
80

Close enough welcome back Plastic Beach

It’s really nice to hear Gorillaz do what they did best, and whilst I did enjoy the style and feel of Song Machine, I’m reminded with this project what made the old albums so great in the first place.

Mitski - Nothing's About to Happen to Me
82

Lowkey Mitski is incapable of making a bad album

The emotions feel very real and palpable on this one, and whilst I may prefer Bury Me (which is my favourite of her works), this is a beautiful project that I keep finding new details in every time I listen.

Headache - Thank You For Almost Everything
75

When I rated that dumbass Dry Cleaning album earlier this year I said I hate preachy spoken word over instrumentals.

This LP is even MORE divisive for me, due to its use of AI vocals, with AI in creative fields being something I’m pretty strongly in object of.

However, there is something so uniquely interesting about these projects.

The vocals aren’t trying to come across as performed with emotion or humanity, and the poetry is incredibly complex and fascinating, being ACTUALLY ... read more

Baby Keem - Ca$ino
53

Props to Keem for experimenting here, but personally it just didn’t land.

Joji - Piss In The Wind
36

Completely unrealised, often dull and forgettable.

J. Cole - The Fall-Off
63

I’m not much of a Cole fan but this was pretty fun.

Quite bloated with the run time, and the good tracks kinda get lost in the mix.

Sarah Kinsley - Fleeting
72

Only very slightly worse than the debut album. I’m really looking forward to the next full length project

Ninush - The Flowers I See You In
86

This is my favourite thing I’ve heard released this year so far!!!
