GloRilla - Lick Or Sum
NR

Hilarious bars. Summer banger

Taylor Swift - Karma
75

idc that people on this site probably won’t like it much but Ice Spice kinda killed it with the 30 seconds she had. Her best bars yet easily and she’s starting to show some potential.

Ed Sheeran - -

Easily the best Ed Sheeran album yet. Honestly never thought I’d really like an album by him but by god did he and Aaron Dessner kill it here

NF - HOPE
30

From the first track, NF tells us that he is gonna give us something different. This idea is further talked about in the second track “MOTTO” where he says how he’s intentionally not creating radio ready tracks, meanwhile in the same song he gives us one of the most radio ready choruses in his past few projects. I mean, the hook on “MOTTO” is still pretty catchy, but it’s kind of contradictory to his lyrics here.

Yaeji - With A Hammer
85

Wow, this is the first thing I’ve ever heard from Yaeji, but after this I will definitely be on the lookout for what she does next. While it’s not the most unique album of its kind, Yaeji finds ways to make this style feel entirely her own. Nearly every song is memorable in its own way, and the album left me feeling very satisfied.

Lil Yachty - Strike (Holster)
80

Prime Yachty right here. Let’s Start Here was easily his best and most cohesive project for me, but I can not get enough of this style of Yachty in Strike (Holster). The same vocal effect he used in his smash hit Poland is also present in this song as well. While that easily could’ve been tacky considering the popularity of Poland, I found that he used the effect very creatively, and I never felt a lack of creativity through the song. This will probably be a hot take, but I actually ... read more

Miley Cyrus - Endless Summer Vacation
65

Nothing wrong with this inoffensive, quite fun Miley Cyrus record. Sure it doesn’t contribute anything new to the pop genre, but does every album need to accomplish this feat? Miley gives some of her best vocal performances yet on “Endless Summer Vacation” and she does exactly what she sets out to do. She creates 45 minutes of fun summer pop that we’ll be hearing in the background at clothing stores for the next few years. The lyrics don’t do much for me, but ... read more

Daft Punk - Homework

If I were in a club, I would be dancing my ass off right about now…

Bigflo & Oli - Les autres c'est nous
75

Very impressive speed and unique flows from French rappers Bigflo & Oli. Since I lack the ability to speak the French language, I can’t quite discuss the lyrics of the album of course, although I would like to try Google Translating some of the lyrics. My main problem with the project is that with over an hour and 20 minutes, it starts to drag on at a point. Thankfully it never fully lost me, and I’m exited to hear any future albums these two rappers create.

Kilo Kish - AMERICAN GURL
90

Hadn’t heard of Kilo Kish before giving this a listen. I gotta say, this album made me a fan. Some of the best art pop / electropop today.

Best Tracks: Death Fantasy, Distractions III, Bloody Future, Choice Cowboy, New Tricks, On the Outside, Intelligent Design

Least Favorite Track: TV Baby

Logic - Vinyl Days
85

Look… I’ve never been the biggest fan of Logic, but he hit a home run with this project. The flows, the bars, the hooks, the beats, all top tier and all at the top of his game. Most of the features were great too, notably Russ, Action Bronson, Royce, just to name a few. The skits were pretty great too, they kept the album grounded and frankly pretty damn funny at times. For Logic’s first studio album out of retirement, this did exactly what it needed. Hats off Bobby ... read more

Demi Lovato - Dancing With The Devil…The Art of Starting Over
55

Fav Tracks: Dancing With The Devil, Melon Cake, What Other People Say, California Sober, Mad World
Least Fav Track: The Kind of Lover I Am

I know that Demi Lovato put her heart and soul into this project, so for that, I have to give her props. You can see her past pains emphasized through the vocal performances. But overall, the music just felt kinda mediocre to me. For something so personal to Demi, you’d think it would be a little less mainstream, but there were definitely some strong ... read more

Pink Floyd - The Dark Side of the Moon

Fav Tracks: Time, Money, Brain Damage, Eclipse (All are incredible, but these are just my favorite of the bunch)
Least Fav Tracks: None

AJR - OK ORCHESTRA
45

Fav Tracks: Ordinaryish People, World’s Smallest Violin, Way Less Sad
Least Fav Track: The Trick

Literally every AJRism is present in this album. If you’ve been an AJR fan up to this point, you’ll probably like it, but if you dislike AJR’s music, there’s no purpose to listen to this.

Xiu Xiu - A Bottle of Rum
85

Fav Tracks: Sad Mezcalita, The Grifters, Rumpus Room, Fuzz Gong Fight, One Hundred Years, A Classic Screw, Saint Dymphna, Knock Out, A Bottle of Rum
Least Fav Track: ANTS (but just cause like, why? lol)

Overall I think this is one of my favorite Xiu Xiu records, great stuff here!

80

Fav Tracks: Sisyphus, Shades of Us, Smiling at the Ground, Burnin Bridges / Long Day, Work!, People Pleaser, Swallowed the Key, It’s All a Game, Summit Pts. 1 + 2
Least Fav Track: Alone Together

After the release of Sisyphus, we saw a side of Quadeca that before had been completely unexplored. For one, he’s got an amazing singing voice, which we hadn’t seen a lot of to this point. In my opinion, that track is perfection. I heard it, and I knew people are gonna go into this ... read more
