Imaginal Disk is THE POP ALBUM OF THE YEAR. With catchy melodies, basslines to DIE for, breathtaking production, and a fascinating and meaningful concept, I can safely say this is my favorite album of the year.

for my 100th rating, I decided to venture into the realm of two genres that have heavily inspired me over my past 100 ratings: jazz and hip-hop.
on my first listen, I didn't think too much of it. It was a very fun, comedic, and bass-heavy album. I felt an immediate rating post album of a 8-9 out of 10. But after listening to it a considerable amount, it's very difficult to warrant anything less than a 9 or 10.

gorillaz returns with an cinematic album thats world reaches the scope of Plastic Beach. it blends eastern sound with art pop in a truly magnificant way.
a good project with lots of energy. my gripes with this album really boil down to tracks lacking substance for being anything longer than 2 minutes or so
